We bought 2 Britax Companion infant seats. We were thinking of getting the Baby Trend Snap n Go Frame double stroller. I did buy one off of craigslist but it was too old to be compatible with the Britax. I will put it back on craigslist and get my money back tho. I was going to buy a brand new one that is compatible to the infant seats. Then today, I was thinking that maybe I need to find a double stroller that the infant seats could snap into and when we are done with the infant seats, we would still have a double stroller that has seats. The Snap n Go frame just just a frame, no seats. I did find the Kolcraft Contours Tandem stroller that is compatible with the Britax infant seats. Price wasn't too bad. Pretty heavy tho and would take up my whole back part of my van. Can't put the back seat in the floor since my ds will be back there!

Question for all you mamas: Do any of you know of or have a double stroller that can fit infant seats that is not the same brand as the stroller? Ex: Graco can only fit Graco seats etc. I have about 6-8 weeks before I really need it.

    Any help would be wonderful!

The double stroller I got for my 20 mo old and new born had a part you could buy for an attachment for a car seat. the attachment was universal so would work with most any brand. Also, the stroller and attachment I felt were a really good price. The stroller also grew nicely with the kids. I still use it for my 17 mo and now 3 year old. Easy to handle, great storage, kids were always comfertable. I really liked it. Wish I could find something I liked as much in a three seater!

LOL, sorry, you probably want to know were I got the stroller! I found it at walmart and I believe it is the only double they have?

There is a red kolcraft stroller on babies r us that we saw in the store, it only comes in red and it claims to fit any infant seats. We are looking at that one! Though trying to find infant seats to match RED might be interesting!

Lynn, from the stories I've seen here, it seems that people really like the Snap and Go. Most of us who bought the strollers that accept car seats and then can be used as regular strollers actually ditched the stroller shortly after moving to convertible seats and got a new stroller. It just seems that strollers that are made as two things - a car seat stroller and a regular sitting stroller aren't as comfy as strollers designed to do just one thing.

If you're looking for advice and suggestions, I'd say get a Snap and Go and use that until your twins are out of their infant seats. Then, decide what type of sitting up stroller you'll want. You may not want a front to back stroller by then (I know I didn't). You might want your twins to sit side by side. You also may want a stroller you can jog with. Getting the Snap and Go now gives you time to figure out how you'll shop and walk with your twins and you'll probably end up spending less than getting a nice stroller now only to find out it doesn't fit your needs when the babies are 10 months old.

I checked that one out yesterday and loved the look! Our seats are black so they would look pretty good in that stroller! It's pretty heavy but would suit our needs fairly well. I talked with my dh again last night after doing much more research online. He said that we should just go ahead and get the snap n go frame and then in about a year, go ahead and get a double stroller. I don't know if I want to go that route as it would be more expensive. I am so stuck on what I want to do! I think I would have more options waiting on the double stroller since I wouldn't have to find one that would accommodate infant seats.

If anyone has a favorite double stroller, please tell me about it! I do want one that has cup holders for me and a pretty big basket to hold things.

i got one from craigslist, double snap and go ( i believe it's actially made by Swan as that is what is stamped on it). it has parts to set it up for different car seats, we have graco infant car seats and it was easy to put together. once the babies are out of their infant seats we will have to get another one, but for now it should do its job. it folds pretty flat too, so it easily fits in my car's trunk

We actually have both the Double Snap N Go and the Kolcraft Contours Tandem. We got the Contours first because we really liked it - love the way the seats can face different ways. We figured we'd just put the car seats on that. However - we got to thinking about the winter and trying to carry the stroller to the store if we had to (through the snow) and it is just too heavy so we got the Snap N Go as well. I'm happy we got both to tell you the truth. We'll use the Contours a lot once they're big enough for the seats but love the snap n go for the car seats and "lightness". We haven't had them yet so I don't know how well they all work but that is our plan. :) We also just bought a side by side jogger off craigslist for when they're bigger and going to the zoo...that sort of thing. We are stroller happy. :winking:

Forgot to add - we have the Baby Trend car seats.

Im having trouble too on picking out strollers. I was looking into the snap and go. And I think its a good idea. Its cheaper. and you'll probably use it up to 6-8 months. Plus, most of the double strollers can only hold one infant carseat. <_< which sucks!

I second this! I have a quatro duo that accepts my car seats, and as soon as we move to larger seats we will be ditching it for something I can actually steer!!! My original thought was to keep it until we were out of strollers... yada yada... no way, no how! (trying out an empty stroller is meaningless - they all steer just fine...) Either buy a second hand tandem for your seats (so you aren't out as much), or go with the snap and go and upgrade when you are ready.

Thank you mamas for all your replys! After thinking about it for the past few days, we are going to stick with our original plan and go with the Snap n go frame. This way it gives me time to research more twin strollers. Don't know how thats possible as I have done a ton of research and I think I have seen all the twin strollers ever made :D I was thinking too if we hold off on a double with seats, then I have more options and not have to worry about finding a stroller that fits 2 infant seats. I was thinking of finding a side by side stroller by then instead of a tandem.

Thank you again for all your help!
