My husband just put our snap n go together today and we put on our Graco Snugride car seats. Something just doesn't seem right- even after we read and re-read all directions. The carseats rock from side to side- even with the black safety strap being used. Is it normal for the seats to give a little? Also, once we put both on, it looks as if the baby who will be in the second seat will get their feet squished by the first seat. There isn't any space between the two seats like the picture shows on the box. Is this normal for the Snugride? Do we need to move a bar somewhere else (although I don't see where we'd move one to). Feedback would be appreciated. Concerned we might need to rethink the stroller issue.
    Thanks! :D

I ended up bring the s&g to BRU and had them help me put it together. I had the same carseats as you. I cant rememer if it was the front or the back seat that reclined more then the other. But other then that, it was perfect. There never was a problem of not enough room for their feet. I dont really remember it having much give.

I called Baby Trend yesterday to make sure they are compatible with the Graco Snugride seats. They told me they are compatible. I have ordered both but I haven't received them yet. I was told you may need to lower the bars? I hope you come to a resolution! If you do, please post.

I am glad to hear it wasn't just us! We had same problem, and I didn't feel like it was safe (felt really loose). I called baby trend and they told me that the Graco Snugrides don't "snap" like other car seats and it was supposed to be like that! Whatever! I didn't like that answer so my DH and his dad first tried duct tape around the bar and then bent the bar with pliers so it would snap and now it works great. It didn't take a lot of bending...about 1/2 inch or less...

That is what I would try. Now our carseats fit snugly and snap in...

I have the double snap-n-go with Snungrides and there's no "give" of any kind. As for the placement of the seats, the back seat sits up a little higher from the front and the baby in back is not squished at all. I didn't put mine together, though, so I can't help with that. ut if your sides are labeled with letter stickers like mine are, I could look and see what letter holes the bars are on.

I remember ours having a bit of give, but not so much that I felt it to be unsafe. And like the pp said, the back seat sits up a bit higher than the front seat, so no one gets squished.

Call the manufacturer and they should be able to help you solve the problem.

We used the Graco Duoglider with our Snugride seats. My sister had the stroller from a few years back and the new seats snapped right into it.

When I put mine together, I had to call the company because the car seat wouldn't sit on there right. Turns out their directions were printed wrong, so the tech on the phone walked me through what to do.

That was summer of '06 that I put mine together, so who knows if they have corrected it since then. I would definitely call their 1-800 # to get some help.

What seats would everyone recommend that fit the best, snap right into place with no issues? We have the BabyTrend double stroller. We have not bought carseats yet, that will happen sometime this month. Was looking at the Snungride ones, should we maybe look at another kind?

We got our Snugride car seats and the Baby Trend Snap-n-Go yesterday. The first seat went in perfectly. The second one had a bit of give but once we put on the safety strap, it was stuck in there firmly! I would say the best fitting car seats for the Snap-n-Go are probably the Baby Trend Car seats! The Graco's did snap in for us though.
