    Hello,

It has been recommended to me from time to time to buy a double jogging stroller and just use that once the twins are out of infant car seats. Would you recommend just using a double jogger or just using a side by side or both? TIA.

i'd recommend both if your budget will allow b/c the wheels on most side-by-side strollers (I have a combi) weren't made to go on roads and sidewalks, no matter how good a condition those roads and sidewalks are in. It's a rough ride and tough to control the stroller. So I have BOB revolution jogging stroller for walks in the neighborhood, and a dbl snap n' go and a combi (I forget the model name) for everywhere else.

This is a question I have been wondering about too. I was wondering why I couldn't just use the double jogging stroller for everything?

ours aren't HUGE fans of the tandem stroller, thoughthey tolerate it in target. the one in back always is grabbing at the one in fronts hair. <_< we almost always use the double jogger. we have a side by side umbrella, but left it at the sitters for her to use. i LOVE the jogger. it is easy, they both like it, and it actually fits through most doors as well, so you CAN take it shopping as long as it is somwhere with wide aisles.

I started with a double jogger (a budget-friendly Instep) since I live on a dirt road and there isn't a traditional stroller on the market that can handle chunky gravel. It's light and gives a great ride. The only reason I don't use my double jogger for everything is that it takes up the entire trunk of my car. Yes, I can pile bags on top of it because it folds pretty flat but then I have to move the bags to get it out again. So, once they were sitting well unassisted, I got a tandem umbrella stroller that lives in the trunk and leaves me ample room for shopping bags.

We have the double snap and go for quick trips and a 'bob duallie revolution' jogging stroller that I absolutely love when we take walks and trips to the mall or out and about. (bobgear.com) A little pricey but well worth the money! it has a 100 lb weight limit, we (well I did, DH could have cared less) also looked at the phil and teds but decided on the bob instead b/c of the weight thing.

You can! I use my double jogger for everything. We do not use any other strollers, my jogger (the BOB Duallie) fits everywhere and I take it everywhere.

Depending on your budget, I would strongly recommend looking at the Baby Jogger City Series Double. Its availabe in alot of colors, and from what it sounds like you need, would fit your needs very nicely. :)

I am so happy with our baby jogger city series. After the snap and go, this is the stroller I used for them. After a few months though, I got tired of putting it in and out of the car. It is heavy like other joggers (but lighter then some also). I did get a combi sbs to keep in the car and then the jogger I keep in the garage for walks but I definately bring the jogger for everything but little errands. As of yesterday, I discovered another perk about the jogger. It is harder for them to get to each other. Yesterday in the combi, they started to pull hair so today I brought the jogger to the mall.

My dh does not like the combi and likes to use the jogger for everywhere we go.

The down side of only having a jogger is that it's hard to find ones to fit through doorways. I ended up getting a Combi Twin Savvy which I love and just bought an Instep Safari (thanks to Becky!).

We use our Graco Duoglider tandem for shopping, errands, trips out in general (it stays in the van). We have a double jogger SBS that stays in the garage and we use it for walks, going to the beach, etc. I did take it into the local store today, and had a devil of a time getting through the doors. So I'd never use it as my regular stroller for shopping. But I love it for walks.

My girls do okay in the Duoglider, they do pull hair or kick sometimes, but they also sometimes fight in the SBS. They are girls. :)

I was hoping and looking to buy just one stroller, but I believe it's not an option. I wanted a good quality walking stroller and ended up with the MBUD (like Valco and Bob) but I feel it's not a car / travel friendly stroller since it's heavy (but rides like a dream), so we ended up buying a MacLaren Twin Rally for the car and travel. Both are good quality, sturdy strollers, but yes, we spend a little over $800. But I sold my Bugaboo for $500 so not a bad deal. And I believe a good stroller makes your life so much easier, it's worth it! And I won't need another stroller ... we're done buying strollers!

My Bob Revolution Duallie fits through all doorways... Very happy with it overall. :)

The only reason I use my Snap N Go is because my InStep Safari (which I love!) takes up all of my truck area. So if we are on a big shopping trip or something, I need more room.

Also, I did get stuck inside a dairy queen once. I managed the stroller in, but the way the doorway was, I coudln't get out!! Other then that, we've fit through all doors in the jogger.

I have the exact same set up as Michelle (thanks Becky!). Great double jogger!

Ditto -- we have a Maclaren Twin Traveller and a MBUD. Bought the Maclaren first, but I realized very quickly that it drove me nuts anywhere but the mall or the doctor's office. We go for lots of long walks, so having a jogger was a must for us.

We do use it anytime we're going to be outside, but it's kind of a pain to get in & out of the car. So if I'm going somewhere by myself (again, like the mall or the doctor's office), I still prefer to take the Maclaren. However, if we only had the jogger, we'd do just fine that way. (We have a station wagon -- it would be harder with a regular car.) The MBUD does fit through any doorway that is wheelchair-accessible. And it some ways it's actually easier to maneuver through doors, because it steers so much better than the Maclaren.

I've got the BOB Duallie and it doesn't fit through my doors. We brought it in the house in the box and have been unable to get it out without having to take it apart again. I can't speak for how well it works since I haven't had a chance to disassemble it and get it outside. BTW, it's huge.

I can't say enough about our Valco twin stroller. It fits through a normal doorway, has off-road tires, rides like a dream, folds down easily. We've used it from day one. we love it.

Along with snap N go I have the BJCSD. I hav enever had any difficulty getting it thriugh a door. It handles like a breeze and the babies can't "bother " eachother. It is heavy to lift into my Honda Pilot but I can do it. DH loves it! ONly draw back is that the basket is not to get at. But I have put so many things on the typical hook on hooks that have not tipped over the stroller even with no babies in it. Hoepfully I will still be in ove with it when the babies reach that 50 lb imit.
