Dopplers...?

    I am 11 weeks today and thinking of getting a doppler, or renting one? Have any of you done this? Did it give you a little peace of mind that your little babies were doing well? What was a good site or brand?

    Thank you for all your help in advance, you ladies are great!

    I did not have a Doppler with either of my pregnancies. I just didn't feel it was necessary. :pardon:

    I rented one. :good: It just made me feel better to be able to listen to them whenever I wanted. :blush: I don't remember what site I got it from but there are many. Good luck if you decide to get one.

    I rented one with my dd, I think it was from http://www.babybeat.com/ .

    Then I had a m/c.

    So when I got pregnant again I bought one this time, off of ebay. I got it the day after I found out I had another m/c.

    So I still had it when I got pregnant this time. For me, after two m/c's, it gave me HUGE peace of mind to be able to find the heartbeats whenever I wanted to, without bothering my ob about it. I already knew what I was doing from my dd and was quickly able to distinguish between the 2 babies :)

    For me....it really was essential.

    I rented one after getting out of the hospital due to a baby with SVT (rapid heart rate) that had just been corrected with medicine that I was continuing on. So mine was for piece of mind with a specific complication. I only allowed myself to listen once a day, for reassurance - I didn't want to become obsessive. I had a good experience with mine.

    Thanks ladies! I just rented one! I am super excited, said I may get in 1 business day in FL, so even better! I think it will give me a little peace of mind and can share with others too!

    I rented one with my DS and I am renting another one again.
    it's really for piece of mind. liek today I came from work and realize I didn't feel any kick from babyA ( so far I only feeling her kicking) and I took the doppler and check found both hb and was happy :).
    I usually use it once a week or whenever I have a scared moment. ( so far this was my first one)
