dont know what this is

for the past couple days on and off ive been having this snotty looking discharge (i know yuck) not alot just enough to be paranoid, but i guess im paranoid about everything at this point. ive also been having period like cramps on and off. does anyone know what this gross discharge means??

 

My doctor said it was normal and it is the cervix thinning. Nothing to worry about. Now I have a thicker more rubbery type sometimes it can be long and stringy (sorry if tmi) and the doc. said that is my mucus plug, but even if your entire plug falls out you still could have a while before you go into full blown labor.

 

Could be your mucus plug, I'd mention it to the doc to be on the safe side since you said you are having cramping too.

 

Sounds like it may be your plug. I wouldn't think twice about it except you mention the cramping. The two together would have me calling the doc to let them know/get advice.

 

Is it clear? Does it have a smell or itch to it?

I had a clear discharge around that time with the twins and it was vaginosis, they gave me some pills for it, and cleared it right up.
