Dollhouses

My friend's 3 year old has a dollhouse and accessories by Plan Toys. It's a great dollhouse and whenever we go to visit the girls play with it nonstop. The dollhouse and all it's accessories are a bit expensive so I am wondering if anyone can recommend a nice dollhouse that won't break my bank account.

Ours is not pink (just unpainted wood), which I think is much nicer. I got it at the twins' club sale. There was no way we had space in our house for a full-size dollhouse.

We've added furniture over time, and not all of it fits in the dollhouse, but that's OK because they usually want to spread it all over the rug anyway. The dollhouse itself is more of a backdrop. The M&D furniture and people are about the same size as the Plan Toys ones, so it's all compatible.

 

We have a hand me down Dora's talking house with all the accessories (from my 8 year old niece). Mine love playing with that. They've had it for two years and still one of their favs.

 

We have the Fisher Price Loving Family (or something like that) one. They play with it some, but mostly we are into dress up now.
