Doing the no more diapers method

Bea has started becoming uncomfortable when she pees in her diaper and will tell me that she has pooped and wants to be changed. She uses poop to mean both things. I think if we put her in underwear, it might be the way to train her. Right now, I've been on pooty training hiatus, as they don't ever actually GO on the potty, they just like to get on and off, flush the toilet, etc. I'm thinking of starting after Christmas, since we will be home, no preschool and stuff.

 

alisha does the same thing - tells me when she's dirty (wet or poop) BUT she's terrified of the potty - will sit on it to play but never when she really needs to go. i'm not going to do underwear with them until they initiate or it's warm enough for them to run around outside naked, whichever comes first.

That's the only way I could get my last three to go! It's a job, but it's worth it! :lol:

Please note that being uncomfortable after soiling, and knowing that they are going to go, are two different things! I agree she is on the way if she is uncomfortable, but it doesn't mean that she is really ready to train. Good luck.

Good to know, thanks. I really don't know if *I* am ready to do it.

 

Why don't you get a potty video or book to start introducing it to them and see how that goes? My girls really liked potty power.
