From the very beginning my pump would "say" the names of my babies. Sometimes I would here "what a pain", but tried to stay focused on my boys. I thought this was just me until I was talking to another mom on Friday. She had a terrible time with breast feeding issues and could hear "what a failure" and worse.

This got me thinking that another women must also hear something with the rhythmic pumping noise.

Love to hear what you have to say!

We had a post about this when my girlies were tiny and I was pumping. I might have even started it, but I'm not sure. I can't remember now what it was it said, but it would say it over and over. I thought I was imagining it until one of my kids said something about it, too. I think they heard it saying something slightly different, but it sure sounded like words.

:rotflmbo: Totally!!! For some reason I always hear "winter coat". LOL No clue!! LOL I can definitely see the what a pain. The rhythmic sound definitely can sound like words. Sometimes I swear it's saying "you're a cow, you're a cow"

I thought I was NUTS when I heard this from my pump with my first DS. I'm glad that I'm not the only crazy one! :)

Wow, what a great thread. I thought I was nuts, too. Mine says, "Yum yum" sometimes, and other times I think I hear a whole variety of words. Creepy. My hubby heard about this post and said maybe we should take a poll from our DH/SO's to see how many of them already believe we're crazy and are sure of it now.

With my singleton, it was "pray to suck." I'm pumping as I'm posting right now and I think it's still saying pray to suck.
