Does this seem fast?

The babies are 12 days old and have started eating 4 ozs per feeding! I don't remember my daughter eating that much so soon, but now that seems forever ago, so maybe she did. Eligh will eat 4 ozs pretty much every feeding, and will cry and suck his fingers, neck, or shirt until we continue to feed him. Kinsley doesn't always eat 4 ozs, but does at least half of the time.

Does anyone else remember how soon their babies started eating 4 ozs per feeding?

 

Seems a little early, but if they are eating it and not spitting up I would keep giving it to them. I don't see why it would be a problem.

don't worry if they are keeping it down then that's how much they need mine are 8 weeks and have been eating 5-7 oz for 2-3 weeks now

 

My girls are 3 weeks old and they started drinking around 3.5-4oz. at 2 weeks. I was suprised myself but it doesn't seem to be a problem for them!

 

I agree with all the posts...I just feed mine until they are full (and not throwing it up, obviously)...they dictate how much they eat--whether it seems like a lot of little. As long as they seem content, healthy, and satisified, I say feed them until they want!

 

i do the same. feed them til they stop. then i burp and try again. sometimes they take more, sometimes not. i let them decide how much

My twins are the exact same way..They will eat 4 oz and sometimes want 2 more ounces..My son never ate that much either..I read a panphlet the other day and it said that they should be eating 5 oz by the time they are 2 months..Mine are only 5 weeks..But I have been giving it to them as long as they don't spit it all back up!
