my big eater ,4.5 mos. old Jack is "yelling" at his bottle and not eating. Also, where do you look for the tooth? Meaning, we can see white on the front side of his bottom gum...is that a tooth? I don't mean to sound silly but I always assumed you would see it on the top of the gum coming up through... KWIM?

Yes, one of my boys had issues with the soft tip sippies for a couple of days and sure enough a top tooth was coming in. On the bottom ones I saw a white spot with a fleck of enamel coming through. It is actually just behind the top of the gum. I used Motrin to help with the pain on the really cranky non- eating days.

It could be teething, you can try rubbing his gums a little with your finger to numb them a little, then try the bottle again.

My DS had an issue with his bottles when he was teething. He didn't seem that interested in them and took a lot longer to finish them.

Also when he had an infection, he acted the same way.
