I'm using enfamil, mostly because I'm on WIC and its all free! The only thing I have heard though is that there may be difficulties switching formulas...my friend had that problem with her daughter.... She switched from enfamil to similac and had a heck of a timewhen she switched....her daughter became fussy all of a sudden

We use Nestle Good Start now but that is only because we get it free through WIC. When they were newborns we used Parents choice and would still be using it now if we didn't get the formula through WIC. My SIL used generic (Parents Choice) for both of her daughters and it actually caused less fussiness than Enfamil. The formula companies are required by law that all generics must have the same nutritional content as the name brand ones.

When my son was in the NICU they said "use the Target formula, it is the exact same" so we have been using it from the beginning (supplement to breastmillk), and it has been great. They went through a really gassy period and our daughter was really fussy around 2 months, so we tried a different formula, and it made no difference. Back to the Target stuff we went, and the fussy/gassy period just eventually went away.

If you look on the back of the can, they break down and compare the nutritional values between Target, Enfamil Lipil, and Similac, and you can see that the Target stuff is exactly the same as the Enfamil.

The girls came home on Enfamil and then we switched to the Sam's club brand it was the same thing. Megan did fine on it, but Haley had an issue with it, but had an issue with regular formula in general so it wasn't the brand. A lot cheaper in the long run.

We ended up on Parent's Choice(Walmart) formula. It was great and so much cheaper!

I asked the same thing about a month ago! As PP have said, the generics are fine. I asked the Ped. about generics and she actually had her son on Berkeley and Jensen brand. (BJ's Wholesale Club's store brand) She said they are FINE. We were going to transition over to that from Similac but then the twins got put on Alimentum which got covered by my insurance.

We have been using the Target brand for some time now. My kids are actually better on it than anything else. I have try Prosobee, Isomil and Good Start Soy and only Target seems to help with the spit up. Not to mention my kids gobble it up.

It is cheap and works so well, I recommended it to everyone I know.

We always used Parent's Choice (Wal-Mart). Mine never had a problem on it. I also use the generic store brand diapers. Target's are my favorite. And $14 a box beats $24!

All my babies have been BF, so I don't have much formula experience. HOWEVER, when I found out I was preg with the twins DD was only 9 months. My milk supply went to pot and I had to start formula. I used the Target brand (compare to Enfamil with Lipil) and had absolutely no problems and this was coming off of breastmilk. Very pleased and much less expensive.

I switched mine to generic at about 8 months, and wished I had switched earlier. We used Target, Member's Mark (Sam's) and Parent's Choice (Walmart) and they are all the exact same. If I remember correctly they were all distributed by the same company. The Costco brand (Kirkland's) was a little different as far as the ingredient list, but we used that sometimes too and never had problems with it. And FWIW, I think the Kirkland diapers are very similar to the regular huggies, and much cheaper!

Ditto pps...no problems here with generic. Mine didn't take much formula until recently as I am only bfing once a day now.

Have used the target brand, parent's choice and sam's club brand. No problems whatsoever and definitely much cheaper.
