Does anyone use a sit and stand?

Just curious if anyone has ventured out and started using a sit and stand. We have talked about it. I don't particularly care for the side by side and the tandem is being a problem because the one that sits in the back has their feet right up in the front ones back. It isn't out of being mean, there just isn't the leg room. I do like the the sit and stand has the option of the back one being straped in as well. I am being to let the walk more, but the option of putting them in something if they aren't listening is appealing. Just curious how it has worked for you. THANKS

 

I forgot to mention that we were at an amusement park yesterday and there were twin girls, probably about 2.5 or 3 in a sit and stand. What are your thoughts?

 

I vote for the Valco twin runabout. I have a three year old and 1 year old twins...have used it for a year, and i love it. i can fold down the toddler seat when i just have the twins or when the three year does not want to ride. i have not found a door i could not fit through, and i can fit down shopping aisles just fine, except for belk, which i do not shop at much anyway.

 

Thanks "lindyfrog" I appreciate your response. I have seen pictures of that particular stroller on line, but never in person. I guess I am just trying to determine if anyone has attempted the sit and stand with twins. I know they are probably designed for a different purpose. We, on occasion, have used 2 umbrella stollers when we go out together with them. So we were thinking that when a new one comes into the mix and we needed the twins to have access to riding (zoo, amusement park, etc.) we could use the single stroller and carrier as an option. I don't know, just getting an idea. I have seen several moms on here with toddler twins and a baby on the way and just trying to get an idea. I would appreciate some more ideas also. THANKS

 

I have just the twins not any others. We do have a sit and stand, actually the joovy one. It is a nice option. I would def. have it if I had another on the way. From two on my guys wanted to walk, but, I wanted to have well, feel the illusion of some control. This is nice because they can both ride, or just one. and if just one is riding it is not terribly off balance, same with if there is a weight difference. we do not use it alot now, only if we are doing alot of walking and I might want them to sit and snack/eat or if they get tired. The only draw back is that the front seat on this one has short foot rests. My guys are rather long, but I does not have a problem with it. BYW my two are now three.
