I am homeschooling and have been for awhile my son is in 4th grade and my daughter is 3 yr old and the twins are one. I am looking for someone that has finally got a schedule on how to organize your time around the twins schedule. I have good days and bad but need advice.

Yes, we homeschool, but advice on scheduling? hahaha! wish i could help, but it's a constant juggling act here!! Workboxes could be a great help as well as numerous table and play activities for the little ones.

We homeschool as well- but I can't give any experience with twins because ours aren't here yet!

I am choosing curriculum for next year that requires less of me for my two oldest (will be 11 and 10) and streamlining the younger ones.

I can't really imagine it with twins and have been thoroughly warned and given "reality check" by multiple people- so- we are just going to head into it the best we can? And maybe I will schedule the babies very routinely- although- I did NOT do that really at all with my last baby.

    ??

    Blessings,
    Rebecca

We home school our 7 year old (our oldest are in school). I was on and off bed rest and so schooling became a challenge. After the twins were born Nov 28th, we just put school on "break" We did flash cards and she did reading but otherwise I just couldn't do it. We started back in Jan but it has been hit or miss at best and DH has taken over most of it. It is too overwhelming with the twins who want to nurse all day and a 3 yr old who wants mommy too. In all honesty I am wanting to put our daughter back in school. We pulled her at semester in 1st grade. I think that my patience and time is so stretched now a days that she is not benefiting like I want. I can't get a schedule going because life revolves around the twins right now. I just am not sure I can do this. It is much harder than I thought.

We homeschool all but the oldest (who is a senior in HS). I would give you our schedule, but I don't think it would really help you because I have lots of older ones to help out with entertaining the littles and you don't have that luxury.

At your kids' ages, I would say that you can get most schooling done during your smaller ones' resting time. Or after daddy gets home when he can entertain them? At 9, school doesn't really take that much time and there's alot that can be done independently at that age.

    Hang in there!

When the twins were 1, I only schooled during nap times. We always have a family lunch time and dinner time. The big boys learned how to fix themselves breakfast and they can do easier things like their reading, studying for tests/quizzes, and drills by themselves while I was doing things with the twins. Our housework is still done when DH is home. I was still nursing at that age, which made for ALOT of time for the boys to play and read. Things have gotten more consistent over the last couple of years. Now it's the twins turn to start...YIKES!

We homeschool. My three oldest are the ones that I officially school (4yo does light schooling mostly through play). They do a lot of their schoolwork on the computer (4th grader does Switched on Schoolhouse, 1st and 2nd graders do time4learning). The four youngest go down for nap at 1:00 and this is when I do the activities that require more attention from me with the older kids.
