Does anyone have an anterior placenta?

What are the risks if any for an anterior placenta? Will it cause any problems or complications to the pregnancy? What if I have to have a c-section? I know it has moved up, but it's anterior. I've never had an anterior placenta before. No wonder I haven't felt a lot of kicks and movements, lol!

 

I had one anterior and one posterior. It didn't make any difference in my pregnancy. I had a c-section because baby A was breech but I can't remember if he was the anterior one or not...

The only "issue" I have heard about is that it's harder to feel the movement...so kick counts might be difficult. Honestly though I felt kicks and movement just fine.

 

That's a good question. Both my babies are anterior and they say the placenta (or placentas) is too.

 

The only difference I noticed was I couldn't feel kicking/movement.

 

DItto previous... I had one anterior and one posterior placenta. I had no issues with my c-section. It took me a while to feel movement though. Most doctors (at least in my experience) don't ask you to do kick counts, esp. with twins.

Mine isn't full anterior.. its off to my left side and then raps around to the back side of my uterus.. atleast thats how the tech described it... I feel lots of movement on my right side and up high.. not often on my left.

 

Both of mine are anterior. It took me longer to feel them move and kick, etc but that's all. Nobody ever said it would be an issue.
