It is getting to the point of complete frustration! If dh tries to get them out of the car, they yell "mommy, mommy, mommy do it". If he tries to hold their hand to bring them in, they do the same.

Dh could not be anymore loving. He is home enough. It is not like they never see him. When he is home, he adores them and plays with them.

There is no question they are momma boys but I need this phase to end! I cant have them yelling for me every second they need something when dh is right there. It would be so nice if he was able to help one when I helped the other. We were out somewhere tonight and they were all over me and freaked if he would even ask them anything! If he hands them a fork, they put it down and say 'mommy give it to me". AH!!!

ETA-It is not just dh- grandma and anyone else who tries to help them!!!

YES! Yes Nicole, I totally feel your pain. I have no idea how this happened or what to do about it. It is very frustrating. Here lately I haven't been giving in as much to their 'mommy do its', even when they cry. I don't know if it's helping or not....

I hope you get some good responses!

Same here. I have been trying not to give in. At home, I dont. I have gotten to the point of not being able to stand them yell so I can easily walk away and then dh does it against their will! In public, I have been so embarrassed lately I want to scream! That is when I usually give in so it is probably sending mixed signals!

We are going through that with Liam, too! Everything is "No, Mama do it, mama do it" Mama don't wanna do it....

*waves hands wildly* Me! Especially Ellie (unless Babci ~ my mom is around, then even Mommy's chopped liver!).

Besides driving me nuts that DH is just as capable of doing *whatever*, I think it hurts his feelings. I tell him that it's just a developmental phase but it still hurts him I think.

I have the opposite problem! It's called "DADDY DO IT!!". Am I evil for loving it? Of course it only happens when Daddy is there to help!

We have the opposite problem (independent to the death), and it is equally frustrating. Hope your phase resolves itself quickly.
