Every night for like the past week and a half maybe I have been experiencing the worst pain that starts in my back right at my bra line then comes around to my stomach to the point where the babies begin to move around alot like they can feel it too. So then I drink water and walk around but it doesnt help laying on either of my sides make it 10x worse the only way I get temporary relief is if i sit up in bed with pilllows propped up behind my back withh my knees to my chest and moan I know sounds weird) or take quick short breaths. Doing that only helps like a tiny bit I have to stay in pain until it just disappears. Sometimes it will go away if I make myself vomit. It feels like I have to take a bowel movement sometimes too but I can't so that does not help. It comes like every night really late around the same time when I want to go to sleep and the pain can last for like 2 hours. Monday it lasted for like 5 hours and i went to L&D but I wasn't having contractions or anything and they really did not have any response to what it was the nurse tried to tell me it was BH but I know it wasn't. Anyone ever experience this and if you did what seemed to help I am trying to avoid going through it tonight and am considering taking Tylenol but I really don't want to.

I haven't experience this but it sounds like it could be reflux or a gall bladder attack? Maybe someone else will have better info.

Definitely sounds like gall bladder to me too. I had MAJOR problems when I was preggo. A little history...I would wake up with SEVERE pains (just like you described) and nothing would make it better...I too woul dhave to just take quick, short breaths b/c of it...breathing deep hurt too much. Mine would come at around 2 am and then subside with in an hour. Not subside, it would just vanish all of the sudden. This was about a year before getting pregnant with the twins. It didn't happen all the time, about 2-3 times a month. So, I went to the dr, b/c one night I passed out from it. They gave me meds for reflux and said to come back if it continued and they would do a gall scan. Well, I went on weight watchers right after all of this and it NEVER happened again. I later look back and realize it was happening every time DH adn I went out for Mexican...nice fatty food.

Fast forward to being pregnant. I had had NO problems for 1.5 years until I was 33 weeks pregnant. I had just spent 2.5 weeks on hospital bedrest and was sent home. Well, after being in the hospital and eating that food, when I got home, I had DH get me a peanut butter milkshake and a double cheeseburger...lol, NOT wise choices...lol!!! That night, I woke up with HORRIBLE pains and called L&D. I went right over and they gave me "cocktail" or sorts that is supposed to calm your belly. I was freaking out b/c I thought I had pre-e or something...then, they started testing me for pre-e and HELLP and said they might have to deliver if it was either one of those. Agagin, I freaked out! I wasn't ready for this! WEll, those both came back negative, but I was still in pain. So, they took me for a gall bladder u/s and sure enough, I had stones in there. They had most likely been there for years, but with the pregnancy adn FATTY foods again, it attacked me something severe. I was in the hospital for 2 more days with pain mangement meds. It was horrible. THis attack seemed like it started and NEVER stopped. So, I guess I now know what caused those problems a few years earlier.

I had my gall bladder taken out 2 months post-partum...by laproscopy...very easy!

But, what you are describing sounds EXACTLY what happened to me. Pain was in the same area, it would start in the middle of the night and end abruptly and you just feel like there is NOTHING you can do.

I would definitely call you OB and alert them, they might want to send you for a scan to see if that's what it is. In the meantime, I would stear clear of foods high in fat and that are hard to digest (like peanuts, corn, etc). See if that helps. Don't just live with the pain. I hope you get some answers soon.

PM me if you have more questions.

I also have to say gallbladder. Mine started around 30 weeks and didn't stop until I had it out at 21days pp. Everything I ate set it off. Hang in there. You don't have much longer to go.

Sounds like gallbladder to me too. It can present in so many ways- mine felt like that pain that you get in your side after running.... my gallbladder found it's way out of me when my son was 4 months old- pregnancy for some reason is good for causing it to go bad :icon_biggrin:

Mine unfortunatly never went away after I had my son- we did an u/s of my gallbladder to find it had a huge stone in it- so it was removed surgically when my son was 4 months- not the worst surgery- but he would not let me go home, like they do many gallbladder patients- because he didn't trust me not to pick the baby up :)
