Does anyone else do this?

Today my dh and I both had a bunch of things we wanted to do and neither of us wanted to stay home with the babies alone. My dh suggested that we each take one baby. It was like a light bulb went off in my head (duh, it had never occurred to us before to do this). Shows us how brained washed we are from having kids! Anyways, it turned out to be a really great plan and we both easily got our errands done. What a breeze it is to go out with one baby! All I had to do was carry the carrier in to each place, do what I had to do, and leave. No double stroller to set up and take down. These singleton moms don't know how easy that have it. I'd never say that to any of my singleton mom friends, but I think it's safe to say it here! [IMG]

AMEN!!! My dh and I have done this a couple of times. It is kinda fun to see how each baby is without the other around. It also lets each have some one on one time, which is pretty rare!

I know what you mean! My DH just recently thought of this and it is a great idea! I feel like a singleton mom for once! I can carry him along with me to do some errands and it feels good to pay attention to only one baby! I love seperate time!

Yup it is great!! It also means that you get to spend some quality time with just one baby without feeling guilty about the other x

I love doing this. It is a great way to spend the much needed one on one time with the boys.

I had to run errands yesterday and took one of the twins with me. Left the other twin and 2 1/2 year old home with DH. Was awesome to only have one child and since I was shopping for the toddler's stocking it was nice to leave her home with DH.

My husband is strangely resistant to doing this. He always comments that I don't have to "dress them like twins" or whatever, but the second I say you take one and I will take the other, he eacts like we're splitting an atom. But the few times I have gone out with just one - doctor's appointments or whatever, it's amazingly simple! The other day he and Katie were napping and Lilly woke up, so I grabbed her and tossed her in the car so I could go to the post office. No plan, no up and down the stairs - just me, Lilly, the mail, and go! Seriously, singleton Moms have no idea how easy that really is!

Yes, me and my DH use to do that a lot... my mom even started doing it, since one baby was easier to handle than two... they even liked the alone time as well.
