Okay, so I went to the doc. today and they measured my cervix and did growth check on both girls. Girls were 3.8 and 4.0 lbs! :) Cervix, they said was nice and long and when I spoke to the doctor he mentioned me possibly going back to work? Does this happen? I went from spending Turkey day in the hosp. (4 days) and taking procardia (He took me off of it today) to going back to work (possibly). He wants to see how I do this week w/o the Procardia. I am a little worried b/c I am a teacher (Winter break is right around the corner) which would mean I would go back to work when I am 36 weeks. Which also messes up my diability and pay. Don't get me wrong, I am very hapyy everything has made a 180 turnaround, but I am still nervous. OH, and now that I "back to normal" he still said no housework. My MIL (who lives with and drives me nuts) thinks that I can now do everything (even though she was at the doctor's with me)....she takes everthing to the extreme...she knows no middle ground. I think I am just looking for some advice. Anything would be much appreciated. Thanks!!

    Shannon :)

I'm a teacher too and if you aren't supposed to do housework, there is no way you can teach. Glad things are going better though. Sorry to hear your MIL is clueless.

I had a hard enough time teaching when I was 36 weeks pregnant with my singleton, I couldn't imagine doing it with twins! Sorry about your MIL. You need to take it easy though.

I would talk with your doc about not going back tro work. It does not make sense to go back at 35 weeks for 2 weeks!!

sorry about your MIL... the doc did say to wait another week on the meds and see, so when you go back to the doc, don't take her in to the room with you!!

i would tell your doc that u dont want to risk going back to work and having anything happen since u arent even suppose to do housework. plus i agree i just finally got my disability and i dont want to have to go thru all that again, if i were u i would just advsd him you would rather not go back to work and just stay off til babies are born sorry about ur MIL

Thanks for the advice! I will talk to my doctor next week (my next appt). I have noticed that just being off the Procardia I have had an increase in contractions (no more than 6 in an hour), but that does show me that I do not need to be jumping into work or anything else. Thanks girls!!!

Okay, went back to DR today and he did not mention me going back to work. :) Instead, he sent for an NST and checked to see if my water had broken....this morning very early I felt trickling down my leg and I got worried. To find out, it was pee!! How embarrasing!!!!

Don't feel bad about the pee -- carrying twins is so hard on the bladder. The other day, I blew my nose and ended up peeing my pants too. Good thing I was already in the bathroom LoL.
