Doctor update

Today was our first appointment with the new practice. Just wanted to update since I whined so much about our weight and wait time issues at the last practice.

We were in and out in AN HOUR and that included going through their medical history and our family history with the doctor. AMAZING!

Alexis and Samantha are solidly 3rd percentile in weight and 10th in height. The doctor said she thought that was a healthy spread and that she didn't see any reason to ask them to get any bigger any faster. WOO!!!

She was incredibly complimentary of their development and said she felt that they were on target and that we don't need to adjust ages for prematurity anymore. That makes me so crazy happy. All you premie moms know how upsetting it can be to hear "behind" over and over for two years. We're finally on track!

AND I took two two year olds to this appointment by myself and everybody survived. I had intended to take the nanny or my MIL but it didn't work out, so I'm thrilled that there were no meltdowns, lost children, or other emergencies. This might be my greatest accomplishment ever.

Good end to my week! I'm going to go home and roast a chicken and RELAX this weekend!

 

Yahoo! Glad the girls are on track and the new doctor sounds great. Also, well done you for taking kids to the dr. by yourself! I think that deserves a glass (or bottle!) of wine to go along with that roast chicken.
