They are currently telling me that the girl is 5 lbs 9oz and the boy is 4 lbs 1oz. However, I'm not sure how accurate these measurements or weight are these days. I am just curious what your doc told you at your very last appointment (before the birth of your twins) and what the real weight of your twins really was when they were born.

Thanks,
Lanie

At 35 weeks they est. mine to both be over 6 lb. At birth (37 weeks) one was 5 lb 11 oz and the other 6 lb. I think they usually give an error margin of 1/2 lb either way on U/S weights.

Mine were both estimated about 6lbs each and they were 5lbs 7oz and 4lbs 12oz.

At around 37 weeks I had a measurement U/S and I remember the tech telling me my girl's weights were over 7 lbs each. I delivered at 39 weeks and they were just 6 lbs a piece. They always told me that its a educated guess and with twins its hard to be accurate. HTH

They estimated mine to be around 7 and half pounds and Maya was 5 lbs. 6 oz. and Mason was 6 lbs. 12 oz

I don't recall the exact numbers because I have always been suspicious of the accuracy of u/s measurements. Since I know many a mom who was told one number and it was anywhere from 1-3 pounds off from the actual birth weight. I have the same issue with est. due dates based on u/s measurements.

I believe we were told that Zach was nearly 7 lbs and Hannah around 6.5 at 39 weeks. He was 6.5 and she was 5.14.

Mine were born early but the last u/s I had a couple weeks prior, the dr estimated their weights to be only ounces off of their actual weight. Maybe its more accurate at an earlier gestation? I know with my singletons they were totally off (told me my dd was between 6-7lbs at 35 weeks and she was born 5lbs 4oz at 36 weeks, with my ds they told me he was going to be huge and that at 32 weeks his head was measuring 38 weeks and the rest of him was measuring 36 weeks, I was terrified something was wrong or I would have to have a c-sec...he was born at 36 weeks 6lbs 5oz...so off on that one too...oh and with a normal size head!). So take it with a grain of salt!

Not super accurate for me. They said mine were well over 6lbs but were only 5lbs. 9oz. and 5lbs. 14oz.

Mine were born at 32 weeks (emergency c-section)...estimated about 2 pounds and they were 3.1 and 3.14.

Mine were off as well. Mine were born at 33 weeks b/c they thought something was wrong with DD and she wasn't gaining weight like DS. When they were born, She was actually larger then they thought and DS was smaller so there wasn't as much of a difference as they feared.

Mine were off by about a pound. One was estimated a pound too much and the other was a pound lower.

I can't remember if it was the 35 or 36 week measurement, but my last measurement before my scheduled c-section at 37.5 weeks -- Baby A was estimated at 6 lbs 2 oz and Baby B 6 lbs 5 oz. At birth -- Baby A 7 lbs 8 oz (way off) and Baby B 6 lbs 6 oz (very close). I remember then taking out Baby A and saying 7 8. I said what is 7 8. They said Baby A is 7 lbs 8 oz. I would have fallen over had I not been on the operating table.

2 days before delivery Katie was estimated at 3lbs 10 oz and Carli at 3lbs 8 oz. Katie came out weight 3lbs 14.5 oz and Carli at 3lbs 9.5 oz, so they were very close.

I had a level II ultrasound exactly one week before I delivered mine and they said my son was 6lbs and my daughter was 5lbs 4oz. At birth they were 6lbs 5oz and 5lbs 13.5oz.

I just wanted to add, I think it depends on the skill level of the person doing the ultrasound. Good luck!

I had an ultrasound 2 days before they were born. est weights were 6.6 *A* and 6.12 *B* I had an amnio the next day and weights were the same as the US before. They came the next day at 5.12 *A* and 6.5 *B* so roughly 7-9 ounces smaller than the US

at 37 weeks, 4 days before they were born, the DR estimated 6 1/2 lbs each with a 1/2 lb margin of error and Stuart was 6 lbs and James was 6l bs 6 oz, so either the DR was accurate or lucky!!!

At 27 weeks, they told me they were 2 pounds 9 ounces and 2 pounds 13 ounces (A, then B).

2 weeks later, at their birth, they were 3 pounds and 2 pounds 13 ounces.

We had an ultrasound the evening before the girls were born and both of them were within a few ounces of the estimate. I was impressed.

I was told that my twins were going to be aobut 5 -6 lbs each. However Babvy A arrived at 7 lbs 13 oz and Baby B was 5 lbs 10 oz. The doctor was quite surprised.
