Just curious as to if you have twins girls do they sleep in separate twin beds or one full bed together? I know it won't be long until I have to be thinking about this and was just curious.

    Thanks!

Separate twin beds. I would not want to make them sleep together. Once in a great while they ask to trade beds, but they've never asked to sleep in the same bed.

Mine have never shared a bed/crib so when it came time for big kid beds, twin beds were chosen. I know ljcrochet (Lisa) had twin beds for her girls, but then switched to a full sized bed.

Separate twin beds. Mine never slept together (not even as newborns) and never seemed to want to. Plus, even if once in a blue moon they might (someday) choose to sleep together, I think each one wants to have a bed that is just hers -- with her quilt, her loveys, etc.

Mine have bunk beds. BUT Jesse wants his bed low .. so I'm thinking about taking his bed down and putting it next to Jaydens. Luckily their beds can do that easily.

Twin beds, but they are pushed together so they can sleep with each other.

We will be getting twin bunk beds soon, but will separate them till they are old enough to sleep on the top bunk.

I have twin boys, but I was facing this same dilemma a year ago. We happen to have a set of twin beds and also a full bed that have been passed down from my grandparents. I wanted to give them the full bed because I figured they would end up sleeping together anyway. My husband disagreed and wanted them to get the twin beds. We went with the twin beds and gave my daughter the full bed. The boys pushed their beds together on their own and "sleep together" in their twin beds now.

(side note - my daughter hates her full bed (she had been in one of the twin beds before the boys got them) and now sleeps with me! )

We went with twin beds since the only time they ever slept together was when we go on vacation and that is rare. I also figured they each would have their own and be able to have whatever stuffed animal/blanket they want on it. Now they are in bunk bed and every two weeks they switch who gets to sleep on the top bunk.

My twins are 3 1/2 and have been in toddler beds for the past year. We plan to switch them to twin beds next year.

I'm curious, Why wouldn't you want them to sleep together?

My girls are almost 5 and share one twin bed. They've never slept separately. Ever. We have a second matress, but have been waiting as long as possible, but set it up as a half height loft. Two twin beds would fill their room.

My twins sleep in a full size bed together. They have slept together most of their life and sleep better this way.

My first question is, if they weren't twins, would you even ask this question?

It honestly never occured to me to put my kids in the same bed. They are two children who deserve the opportunity to have their own space, which includes a bed. Besides, if they have twin beds, you do have the option of pushing them together if that is what they want. But, what happens when they get tired of each other, and want their own space?

The only times my boys have slept together is in a hotel room, and under duress--they used to each want to sleep with one of us.
