Do your kids names have a special meaning?

DH and I are stumped on names for these twins because all of our kids names (first AND middle) have some sort of special meaning or story. I guess we have had to many babies because now we are having a hard time comming up with FOUR more names with meaning. I would feel bad to tell them that we just ran out of meaningful names. So far we have George and Grant - but despite their meaning they just haven't STUCK! We have names that we like - they just don't have anything special about them.

Anyone else have this problem? What did you do?

We didn't get stuck but here's some names I'd think you'd like:
    Gavin "white hawk"
    Curt "bold, wise counselor"
    Russel "little red one"
    Dillon "Sea"
    Brant "Sword/blade"
    Garrett "Spear/Brave"
    Alexander "protector of mankind"
    Wyatt "war/hardy"
    Corbin "raven"
    Duane "Dark/small"
    Connor "Lover of dogs/wolves"
    Nathaniel "gift of God"
    Samuel "heard by God"
    Isaac "he who laughs"

I do like Grant and it has a Great meaning

I understand your dilema! My girls names have special meaning to us and I don't think we could come up with 10 names!

Here are some ideas to look for names, because you wouldn't want these two to feel left out.

Family last names, maiden names of you, your mothers, grandmothers etc.
Long passed away family you didn't necessiarily know.
A name from another language you speak or maybe one of the languages your ancestors spoke if you don't speak any.
Place names from places you and DH have lived, grew up in, used to go to, etc.
    Important figures in your religion.
Important figures you admire (I fell in love with the name Abagail after reading a biography of Abigail Adams)
Names of your first friends (my Bianca is named for my lifelong friend I met when I was 4)

There are also names that mean twin (such as Thomas) in various languages.
I think its harder with boys because you really can't use the attribute names like Grace, Hope, Faith and Joy, but I have heard
Trust and Justice as middle names for a boy. Plant names also tend to be more girly (Lavender, Rosemary, etc.) But I have also heard Oak as a boy's middle name.

when we found out Nathan would most probably die at 20 weeks we decided Nathan as its short for nathaniel and means gift from god, we chose jordan just because we liekd the name Jordan means to flow , so we names our boys Jordan lewis & Nathan lee and i dont regret it one bit as Nathan really was our gift from god.
