Do your babies yawn a lot in the morning

I put the babies to bed anywhere between 530pm and 630pm depending on their daily naps, and they wake twice at night to eat (11pm & 3amish), then they wake up to start the day between about 6-630am, but they don't wake up really happy, and are usually pretty dopey, and yawning alot, so I feed them and they only stay up for about 30-45min before I have to put them down again for their first of like 5 naps during the day. When they wake up yawning does it mean that I should just feed them and try to put them straight back to bed? I am confused..

If they look tired, I would just put them back to bed. Or I would try to wait a bit before getting them up and see if they put themselves back to sleep. I am no sleep expert though, maybe someone else can be more helpful...

Personally, I don't go by yawning too much. Heck, I yawn a lot until I wake up, or if I'm bored. I go more by how they look and how they act. Yawning is just one part of the things I look for.

But I did do a morning feed and then put them right back to bed for a while, so that could be what they want. Mine wake up grumpy when they are waking up too early, whether that is from a nap or from bedtime.

Mine are 6.5 months old (4 months adjusted) and mine always go down immediately for a nap after their first bottle. They'll usually sleep another 2-2.5 hours. They go to bed at 7:30 and wake up about 6:30 or 7. I guess I just have tired babies.

I don't go by yawning, but I do go by crying. When my girls wake up crying it means they are NOT ready to be up. I'd try treating that 6am feeding like a night feeding and see if they go right back asleep and wake up happy. GL!

I know mine are tired when they cry and rub their eyes. They were usually down for a nap within a 1.5 hours of waking in the morning at an early age. I agree with pp, I would look to see if they were showing other signs of tiredness besides yawning. It might just take them a few minutes to wake up. Sounds adorable, btw :) .
