Do your 3 year olds do this?

My girls love to take off all their clothes and be "maked" as they call it. I have to limit it to inside the house or only in the backyard if it's warm enough.

They run around saying 'I'm maked, I'm maked' and think it's hilarious.

Normal or am I raising nudists?

Normal ;) Most strange/weird/unusual behavior in the 2-5 age range is pretty normal  They are testing everything, trying out anything, and always endlessly curious.

Normal again ;) We used to have scheduled naked time (right after bath). Just this weekend I had to keep reminding them to keep their clothes on when we were playing in our backyard.

Totally normal. My DD used to run around naked all of the time. My boys are not quite there yet.

Normal. We too have naked time. It's non-bath nights for about ten minutes before pajama time.

My guys don't ask to be naked, but they obviously love it; they run around before bathtime with their legs spread apart, beating their chests like apes and giggling like fools. Nothing that toddlers do surprises me anymore. :p

I concur - normal! I actually thought my girls were quite weird because they went through a never-nude phase. They *hated* being naked - even in the bath they wanted to wear their swim diapers. :pardon:

Yep, mine too. When we change to get ready for bed, put on clothes, etc... They take off yelling "I'm naked!!!" and squeal.

Every time I take them to my parents house one of the first thing my girls do is take off their clothes. We have gotten them to at least leave their panties on most of the time now.

Their latest phase is trying on clothes. They've been changing clothes 50 times a day. And they throw them all on the floor each time, of course.

I can't remember what age (think around 2.5) but we couldn't keep clothes on ours either. I have several pics during winter of the girls in nothing but diapers and knit caps running around our house. They would freeze me to death, but they hated clothes. During the summer I could not keep shirts on them at all (inside or out). They would have their clothes off before I could blink. Looking back, it's pretty sweet memories.

I actually wouldn't mind it as they are fairly well potty trained now, but DH is not too into it. My SIL used to let her boys run around naked whenever they wanted as long as it was in the house. My brother wasn't as into it, but let it go on as long as there weren't any guests in the house. The only difficult part is, my SIL didn't see the problem with them running around in their birthday suits even with guests. She eventually agreed that if the guest is uncomfortable, she'll tell them to put their clothes on. Now they are too old to be into house streaking, but at the time, I will say it was uncomfortable even for me to have my nephews' dingalings dangling in my face a few times while visiting. I didn't say anything cause it didn't bother me too much, I just didn't need to see it close up. My brother wasn't too happy, however, when he came home from work to see them running around naked while I and DH (at the time... boyfriend), were there.

I'm a little less relaxed about it than my SIL, but more lenient than DH. I just think it's cute.

Mine went through the naked phase too... although now it's morphed into naked, but with cowboy boots and a sun hat. I wish I could develop my own film so I'd have blackmail photos!

For what it's worth, my girls' 4 year old best friend absolutely refuses to wear clothes in her house. She starts shucking things off the instant they get inside the front gate and is usually totally naked by the time she hits the front door. Her mom is so casual about most things that the only clothes rule they have is "you must wear underwear to dinner".

Yup - mine do this too. I usually do talk them into at least wearing underwear in the house. Although if I let them, they would strip off their clothes nearly anywhere!

They run around before and after bath (both pt) "buck-a-naked" as they call it. Its even funnier when they ask mommy and daddy to get "buck-a-naked"!

Normal. Our 3 year olds love to be naked. Right now they just think it is so funny to pull down their pants and run around. If they have to wait a long time for their bath because their baby sister is still in their they will run through the house naked saying "I'm naked!" They usually don't do it at any other time though.

I actually think its more normal and healthy than wanting to cover up! I feel bad when I'm changing my girls and they keep asking "mom hurry help put my shirt back on!" What's the hurry? I don't want them to be so reserved so young! Heck this is the only time in life you can do that without getting arrested! :)
