What would you do? 15 month old sick with a fever. It was low grade this morning, but when he went down for his nap at 12:45 he was warm. It is 5:00. He is still sleeping. I have heard a few noises through those 4 hours. Do you wake? Bedtime is around 8:00. I am afraid that if he sleeps anymore he won't go down tonight. BUT.. he is sick and obviously needs his sleep.

I'd go ahead and wake him, but that's a tough call.

I wouldn't wake him. He needs sleep for the energy to fight the cold.

I'd probably wake him. And I'd make sure he gets a lot of fluids, maybe some tylenol and some snuggles. Also a cool bath might be a nice idea.

    I know it's a difficult desicion.

I would probably wake him and see if he would eat and drink something. Maybe bath him in case he sweated any and it might make him feel better too. Always makes me feel better. And then put him back to bed. More than likely since he is not feeling well he will sleep. So this wouldn't be my worry.

He did wake on his own after 4.5 hours of a nap. We went for a walk and he drank his milk. He was pretty grumpy (understandably so) all evening and went to bed on time, drinking a full 5+ oz bottle. He drink about 10 oz more than he normally does, so that is good. I hope his fever will break over night and he feels better tomorrow. Thanks everyone!
