Do you use a baby sling with your twins?

The one we had with my son was recalled (while I was wearing him, figures). So, I am trying to decide if this is something I should get for the twins. Obvisouly I dont expect to hold them both at once, but wanted to see if anyone found it helpful around the house or going places. If you did, which one did you have?

    Thanks!

I honestly don't know how I would cope without my Moby sling. When the girls were tiny, for like the first three or four months, I could carry them both at once, but now Steffen and I each have one, and we each take a baby. Its' SO much easier when we're in the city, as the double sroller is really hard to navigate through most stores. I love that they fit any size person (Steffen is 6 foot 2 and weighs 350 lbs, and he can wear it fine, and I've also used his when I was in a real pinch with my nine year old son carrying a baby! It's wonderful!)

I did try because I had one that wanted to be held all the time & I really needed free hands sometimes. But it really hurt my back & I never had much luck with it. If you have one you like, I think they are great!

i love love love my moby. sadly, they are getting too big for me to carry comfortably for a long time, but i still use it in a pinch if someone is super clingy and i need to get things done. i was never able to put them both in it at the same time, but like Neumsey, lots of people have been able to figure it out.

so my vote goes for the moby!

moby on a real live person - me! I second the moby wrap and you can absolutely carry them both! I did for a full year :)

I don't wanna hijack the thread, but can you pm me and tell me how you wrapped to get them both in at that age! I'm DYING to try it!

I found the baby carrying devices to be useless with my boys, but I was having some serious claustrophobia after my boys were born.

I have the Baby K'Tan carrier and the Baby Bjorn. I really love my Bjorn carrier. I use it tons. I can nurse them in both carriers, too. If both of my little guys are fussy and just want to be held, I'll put on the Bjorn for one baby & hold the other.

I don't think Moby wraps were around when I was pregnant, at least I didn't find them. I had a maya wrap which had the neat feature of coming with a video that showed many ways to use it, including several with twins from new born to about 4 months. I used it a lot, but with just one baby. Around the house and sometimes in stores. It made it easy to nurse and do something else at the same time. But I never really carried them both in there. It turns out that to get both in there, I needed help, and if I had help, than that person would just carry the other baby. Plus I'm not very strong and didn't want to hurt myself carrying them both. I liked my maya wrap, but if I were to buy a sling now, I'd go with a moby instead.

I have the Balboa but it never seemed to work well for either boy. I've bought an Ergo but used it once so far. I might use it more when the babies can hold their heads up completely.

I use a ring sling and an Ergo. Here is a pic of Jon in my ring sling in a back carry. He is just on the back of my hip.

    Sling photo

The first 4mos or so, I have them facing me, straddling my hips. As they gain head control , they move to my hip unless they are tired then they face me. I can get them on my back with the Ergo. I have to sit on the couch to do that. I am going to be using the Ergo more cause when I do things around the house, I like having them on my back.
