Do you think my girls are identical? Waiting on dna test results.

Hi, bella and bree are 12 weeks and we're waiting on the dna test results to find out if they are in fact identical.

I have a sister in law who keeps saying they look nothing alike despite the fact that all the girls drs have said they are identical twins and shared a placenta.

They had different birth experinces, bella head first, bree a footling breech extraction, and so have different shaped heads.

Take a look at my pics and tell me what you think.

Also, bree got put in the pavlik harness yesterday, no bath for 8 weeks to correct her hip displacia caused by her breech delivery. The harness looks pretty bad and makes her legs look like frogs legs, but she is actually pretty comfortable so far.

They look id to me. Very cute! Gotta love some cowboys!!! YEEHAW

 

They look ID to me. I can tell that one is a little rounder in the face, but they have the same eye shape, nose and mouth. Our boys are the same way and they're ID.

You know u didn't really have to ask they are identical. Your SIL is crazy!! haha, now lets hope I'm right

 

ID in the first one for sure...but the 2nd one hard to tell...

What is their weight difference? They look ID. Ours have about a pound difference, and the drs think they are ID. We have one who is much rounder, like yours.

I say ID. Who was head down and who was breach? My docs say id for us as well but we have not done the test. Mara has a rounder face and Izzy's is longer. Izzy was head down for a long time and Mara was breach.

ID in my opinion. One twin does have a rounder face, but the other features look the same. My twins are the same way. Someone told me after I had my twins, that one twin always has a rounder face and the other has a longer face.

 

I'd have to say identical. When my grandma had showed a picture of my girls to a friend, the friend said that they were identical because their eyebrows are the same. We hadn't had the test done yet, but they are indeed identical. Your babies eyebrows look the same to me.

 

If they shared a placenta they are id, not too mention they are gorgeous and they absolutely look id to me.

 

They're identical.

 

I would also vote ID. On a side note, all your kids are absolutely gorgeous!

 

The first thing I thought was that they have the same eyes. The first pic I'd guess ID. If I'd only seen the second pic I wouldn't be sure, so I guess I'd say ID. I'll be waiting for you to post the results!

I haven't had them weighed for a while, but last time there was a few ounces but bella (fat cheeks!) has gained quite an appetite and overtaken her sister who was the bigger twin born, by one and a half ounces(not much i know)

bella was head down and first out and smaller at 5 pound nine ounces and bree was breech and weighed 5 pound 10 and a half ounces. She had a bigger and broader head for a long while, but it has started to even out a little.

Yes, my vote would be identical too, :itwins: but whenever SIL sees them she says how much she thinks they DONT :angry: look alike, and i was beginning to wonder(because of the small chance of placentas fusing)about them being fraternal. <_<

You know, :blush: i thought maybe with the whole busy twon mum thing and the twin daze, lack of sleep, maybe they were just fuzzy and looked the same! :wacko: :wacko: :wacko:

Did they send your placenta off to be tested to see if they had fused? If not and there was only one they would be identical. My vote would be identical. My girls are the same way. They have different head shape and Hope's ears are thinner and stick out a little more than her sisters do. Other than that they have the same blood type, eyes, mouth, hair and they have weighed within 2oz of each other and are the same length since birth. I know how you feel about your sister in law, my mom is the same way about the girls. One minute she will not be able to tell them apart and the next she is saying they look nothing alike.

You have some very handsome little cowboys too. And your little girls are beautiful & identical.

i would say identical. they are like my boys. whom we are not positive if they are. but i would say so. ones a lb and a half bigger than the other. so they look a lil different.
