Do you think Ethereum can really compete with Bitcoin as a store of value?

Hey everyone, I've been thinking a lot about Ethereum lately. We all know it's the king for smart contracts and dApps, but I'm wondering if it has what it takes to become a true store of value like Bitcoin. With the merge and everything, is ETH really becoming "digital gold 2.0" or is that just wishful thinking? Would love to hear some thoughtful perspectives on this.

That's a really interesting question and one I've been exploring myself. I actually just read a fantastic article that breaks down exactly this topic - it looks at Ethereum's transition to proof-of-stake, its economic model, and whether it genuinely has the properties needed to function as a long-term store of value alongside Bitcoin. The analysis is really balanced and goes beyond the usual hype. It definitely gave me a lot to think about and helped me understand the real potential here.
