Do you take a big break for the holidays?

So I'm debating what kind of schedule to have for December. This week, we're having a fun, modified schedule. I'm kind of thinking of doing something similar for most of December, instead of just going full speed or not doing school at all. What do you do?

We school straight through the holidays. This year might be a little different as we are thinking about going to the mountains the day after Christmas for a mini vacation. They school any day that Daddy has to go to work and on occasion on days he is off. By not following the traditional school schedule, it allows us to go on vacation whenever we want to.

We'll school through most of December, but we are doing K12 so we have to do 180 days before the school year is done. If we weren't doing K12 I would probably take a little more time off. But not too much because I would get out of the swing of things! :)

We'll definitely do some fun Christmas stuff throughout the month, though.

We are doing a Christmas unit study starting this Sunday and going every day (even Sat and Sun) until Christmas. We will probably take off the time between Christmas and New Years, but may just do an extremely relaxed schedule.

Our last day of school before Christmas is Dec. 17th. We go back on Jan. 4th.
