I have one on and one off. Mine are 10.5 months now, and I took one off about 2 months ago. I'm nervous to take the other off b/c this guy is restless and moves into the sides a lot and I'm sure the noise of the sides of the crib will wake him...

my girls are 17 months and i wouldn't dream of taking them off. they ALWAYS snuggle up to them when they are sleeping. there was a time when they were maybe about 5 months or so that we switched them out for the mesh bumpers but that was a total waste. we ended up putting the soft bumpers back on but we now have them tied in such a way that they can't use them to climb up. if they try, it slides right down.

I just switched Chase's to the outside of the crib so that it would catch pacifiers before they fling out, but so that he can't really step on them to try and climb out. Connor's is all mushed down and I'm just leaving it.

Mine are 22 months and we still have them. They never showed any desire to climb up on them, but they sleep pressed up against the sides of the crib and I was afraid they'd be uncomfortable if I removed the bumpers.

I took them off and then had to put them back on. My boys move around so much that they get arms and legs stuck between the slats. Then they cry when they can't get them back out.

One off, one on. Jake's is still on to catch the runaway binkies!

we have the mesh bumpers b.c I was afraid of the others...they pretty much just help keep my guys legs from getting stuck in the slats. I thought about getting the real bumpers now but after I hear about them using them to climb out I'm going to forget that idea. my guys are fine with the mesh ones

We took ours off around 6 months. They kept rolling over and I was afraid of SIDS. Now I am kicking myself for spending so much $ on those for just 4 months! (they were in the NICU for 2 months)

Ours are still on because there is an outlet (with a child safety cover ) behind each crib. I do not want them to notice it.
