Do you still give milk before bed?

Lara still enjoys milk before bed and teeth. The boys have just about stopped drinking it now and I don't know why I bother trying! Max has none and Elliot a couple of sips (all out of sippies). It's definitely more for my peace of mind trying to be a good mum than them actually needing/ wanting it. Shall I just call it a day? They don't want it at breakfast either. Anyone else?

Mine are 17 months and don't drink much milk at all. The only time I can get them to drink milk is when we are in the car. So I give them a sippy of it on the way to the sitter's house. I'm lucky if they drink 4 ounces then. And I offer it again when they get home from the sitter's around 4:00. Then if we are going somewhere (like soccer practice or gymnastics) I will give it in the car. Again maybe 4 ounces. I'm lucky if they drink 6 ounces a day! I'm just packing in the cheese and yogurt.

The girls still get milk before bed every night. Some nights they drink it all, some nights, a couple of sips. They also get it at breakfast, but usually don't want to drink it. I would continue to offer it on the off chance they may be in the mood for it. :pardon:

Mine do the same. There are nights they will drink it down and other nights, they want no parts of it. I still keep offering it just in case.

My girls still LOVE drinking milk. They'll drink water and juice too but they do love milk...

I was just thinking the same thing! My girls eat dinner 1.5 hours before bed with milk. What they don't drink I save for after bath before bed. I guess I still think it helps them sleep better. Though most nights they really don't want the milk. Right now they sleep 12 1/2 hours and don't wake up starving. I don't think I'm brave enough yet to give up the milk before bed!

Mine are 21 months & they still LOVE their night time milk. They get it in sippies now, but my DH & I still hold them while they drink it & it's still part of their whole night time routine.

I give some milk after their baths (and still about 1/2 hours before bed), and sometimes they take a few sips and just hand it back. Rarely, do they drink most of it. But, I know they want it, because they start to whine like crazy...must be a routine/comfort thing to them.

Meh, if they don't want it, I wouldn't worry about it. I would consider a daily vitamin if they're not taking one yet.

We still offer milk before bed here. I think once they start not drinking/wanting any for like a week straight, then I'll just out it completely.

They get it with dinner--like 1 -1/2 hour before bed.

Mine have it as part of their dinner & they drink it a breakfast.

Could you maybe add some Nesquik (i.e. chocolate sweetened powder) to their milk and offer it as a type of hot chocolate? Not sure if you want to take that route though!

If mine have off days with milk, I up their yogurt and cheese intake.

Mine get milk with all meals; dinner is 1 1/2 hours before bed. I only fill their cups 1/4 of the way since there are many times they won't finish it and I end up pouring it down the drain.

Last night I gave them Dean's chocolate milk as a treat and I did not have any problems with them finishing it. :D

My kids are 2 now and they have 10 oz when they wake up and 10 oz before bed. They LOVE their milk AND they don't like cheese or yogurt so it's definitely a good thing!
