Do you know if you can do this?

I am 35 1/2 weeks with twins. Is is possible that you are so uncomfortable you can tell the doctor to induce? Both are head down and big for age.

you can try - my doctors (OB and peri) would NOT even consider
    until 38 weeks!!

Mine either, but I am right there along with you at 34 weeks and I am even having contractions(with no dialation).

What keeps me going is Doc keeps telling me they are so much healthier with me than in NICU (plus I still get to keep them super close and not with a stranger).

You could ask, but they would say no! [IMG] Typically, unless there is a medical emergency, they will not even think of inducing until 37-38 weeks.

Thanks! I'm just so frustrated. I just spent the day in the hospital hooked up to monitors having contractions every 4-5 mins. BIG ONES! I was a finger tip dilated on Wed. today I am a loose 1 they said. I had no changes the entire time in the hospital so they sent me home. I justed wanted to say can't you just give me something to get things started. [IMG]

It works for some people. I know you don't want to hear this but another week or two would be fabulous. Take a look at the NICU stays by gestation chart and see how important each week gets.

In most cases the weight is not as important as the gestation.

I wanted the babies out for weeks before I went into labor, each week I would leave my peri appointment soo depressed my peri didn't take me off my contraction stopping meds. Once I help my angels all that depression turned into guilt that I actually wanted them to come earlier than they did.

Like I said, I know you don't want to hear this but hang in there. You are doing a great job!

At this point, my OB said she would take the babies immediately if I'm at all dilated, otherwise we're scheduled for a c-section at 37 weeks..the earliest she would do it. I think maybe she would take them now (if I'm dilated at all) because baby A is breech and could cause problems if I'm dilated, also the babies are about 6lbs each now. Hang in there....I feel your pain!
