Do you heat baby food?

I'm planning to feed my boys some baby food for the first time this weekend. They've already been having rice cereal for about a month and recently tried oatmeal too but we're going to try some sweet potato tonight. I know you don't have to heat baby food, but do you heat it for your babies? Do yours seem to have a preference if it's warm or not?

I did because it was usually frozen and I had to thaw it in the microwave. If it was out of the jar at room temperature I'd probably leave it!

I don't heat mine unless it's frozen, like pp. Even then, I just warm it enough to unfreeze. It's usually cold or room temperature when I feed it to them.

I don't heat my baby food. I figure if they don't know it's an option they won't have a preference and I won't have to worry about it. It's either room temperature or cold, just like their milk.

haha... well, I opted for EASY! mostly I served it right out of the fridge - I would do the frozen cubes and just have enough thawing in the fridge or whatever. I didn't necessarily warm it each meal.

The only time I heated mine was if I took it from the fridge or freezer. THat way they got used to eating it a little cool if we were out and I had nowhere to heat it.

It depended on my mood. Usually, to keep things easy, I just opened a jar. That way if we were out and about and not near a heat source, I wouldn't have cranky kids on my hands because their food wasn't hot. I believe I did a mix of both. If I was mixing cereal with a veg, I may have heated it up.

The only time I heat the food up is if I have some in the fridge. I buy baby food. I have a bottle warmer I can put baby food jars into as well. If its in a tub I'll use one of my 4oz glass baby bottles and put it in there to warm. The warmer doesn't really make it warm it just makes it cool or more room temp. That's only because the instructions read for room temp and the baby food I would have comes out of the fridge. If its out of the cabinet and newly opened I will open and feed. Like everyone else I don't want them used to heated food and then be somewhere and they won't eat.

I always warm their breakfast. It's usually cold in our house and warm cereal seems to wake them up. The rest of the day it depends on how I feel.
