Do you have toys in their cribs?

I have a mirror that attaches to the side of the crib, it is shaped like a star and has lights on it. Well T has figured out how to play the music and get the lights going so I've been hearing it in the middle of the night. I am wondering if I should take them out, but I used the first 15/20 minutes they are awake to shower, so I figure they need something to keep themselves busy and happy.

With the twins, I started putting a toy in at night after they had fallen asleep. That way in the AM I had 20 min or so before they needed to get out of the crib.
Mia is 9 months old and has just found her aquarium and plays the music at night and in the morning. She also has books and one rattle. When she wakes in the morning she is content to play by herself for 15-20 min before joining the family. Once she gets a little older I wil sneek in toys like Leap Frog Bus, Baby Tad, etc. after shes gone to bed so she can play with something new in the morning. My twins learned their ABCs from playing with Leap Frog toys in their crib.

They'll have a lovey and that's it... Don't want them to pile up toys to climb out! For now DD has the fisher price rainforest soother, because there is nothing to play with really... She turns it on when she wakes up but that's it. DS used to have the aquarium one but there was a kind of rattle toy attached to it and he was playing with it all the time and driving me insane, and he sleeps better and faster without anything to distract him.

No toys for us. The crib is to sleep. If I put toys in they would never stop playing. :) When they wake up they stand up at the part of their cribs nearest each other and talk and laugh, and giggle. I have no idea how long they would enterain one another, but we often let them go 15-20 minutes if they wake up before 7am.

We are a little older but we have always done the same thing. No toys. They each have a stuffed animal they feel comfort with. They don't even have toys in their room, it if for sleeping only.

I let them have a couple toys in their cribs, but none that make noise. When they get up in the morning, they play with their toys and "chat" with each other. It hasn't interrupted their sleep in the least bit. I will say that I never put anything in their cribs with them until they were able to move around pretty good because I was always too worried about SIDS.

We have a mirror with some attachments on it that I got from a TS member a long time ago. I wish I remembered who I bought them from! :)

We have the Fisher Price aquariums that they both love, and we attached a mirror toy in DD's crib because she looooves admiring herself! In the morning we hear her cooing in delight:)! But no soft toy/blankets yet...just hard toys attached...

we gave each baby a little blanket at around 4months old, and then I also added a soft doll or stuffed animal at around 6months old. Although its funny because in the morning they mostly play with the little blanket and not so much with the stuffed animal

Each of mine has a soft toy but that´s it. If one of them can´t sleep, we put a couple of toys in to keep him/her quiet for a bit. Both have a music box and DS actually managed to switch his on himself today! With DS, I prefer him not to have toys as it keeps him awake. His mobile also revs him up so we had to remove it!!!

Like isis, both have a little blanket that they use to sleep with and they often play with that - it´s part of their ritual for getting to sleep.
