do you have sippies all over the house?

We just had a kind of mini-vacation & while we stayed in the hotel I only took 2 sippies for each kid. And it was so easy to not have to do the daily "sippy hunt" to find them scattered all over the place!

Since most of our sippies are pretty old now & my dr told me to throw them out after awhile, I'm thinking of cutting back. We probably have WAY too many anyway. But I'm just wondering from other moms, do you have tons of cups that are constantly getting drug all over the house? And if you don't, what's your secret?? I'm scared to cut down to just 4.....they'd get lost or something, I don't know. It's tempting, though!

Each day we have two water sippies and two milk sippies. Milk only while in the highchair, water all the time. While it is a pain to do the water sippy hunt, I'd rather only have 2 to look for than a housefull. I do have more in the drawer as backup, but I like to have enough sippy cups so I can just run the dishwasher once a day.

We do milk only in the highchair too and I only give water in sippys at each snack time and that can be with them roaming. However, once its gone, its gone and I dont refill it so they can wander with it all day (maybe I should offer them more water but they would guzzle it down anyway). No secret, I just dont give it to them.

We don't usually let them carry sippies around. The milk sippies are used at meals and then go back in the fridge as soon as the kids get down from the table. The water sippies sometimes get carried around, but they only have one at a time. And I try to make them sit down to drink, so that when they're done drinking, they just set the sippy down on a nearby surface.

We use one sippy per kid per day. In the high chair they get open cups. If they want more water, they have to help find the cup. At the end of the night, I collect the cups and put them in the dishwasher. We have 8 cups and cycle through those during the week.

They each get one water sippie a day, so I just have to fetch those two at the end of the day. Then they also get a milk sippie they use all day (stays in the fridge and doesn't go anywhere but the table), and also a juice sippy they have with afternoon snack at the table, then into the dishwasher it goes.

I prepare 2 water and 2 milk sippies a day. Like others, they only receive milk sippies at meals and water sippies normally stay in the kitchen or family room. Mine aren't heavy drinkers so I don't have to refill often.

I too do milk only in the highchair and water sippies that they can carry around. So 2 milk sippies per day and 2 water per day.

I'm OCD about their sippys {and other things ;) } so I always have them accounted for. They only have three sippys each. One set stays in the diaper bag for outtings, one set is for their milk, and the other set is for water. They are all different so I know if one is missing. If I come in the room with two sippys I leave with two sippys, I'm scared of them losing one and drinking it two days later when THEY find it. :bad: Plus, each night the two sets {that are used daily} are on their dishrack thing, so I know if any of them are missing. :good:

I have 3 sets of water sippies and 3 sets of milk straw cups. The boys have one water sippy they use and have access to all day long (unless we go out and then they get a clean cup when we get home). They only get milk at the table and I use one milk cup per day. Any milk leftover at the end of the day gets discarded. I have some take and toss cups they get juice in occasionally but that is also at the table. My cups are always accounted for -- drives me nuts when I don't have things in pairs -- LOL.

We have a lot of sippies, probably about 12, but they only get one each at a time.
They get one each for milk in their highcahirs only.
And one for water that is used throughout the day.
I have a tough enough time keeping track of just two sippies, so I could not imagine giving a bunch of cups a day. :icon_eek:

No, we only have 4 sippies total and two of the travel ones for when we go out. They have a sippy only used for milk at breakfast, lunch and dinner and a sippy for water used at snack time or if they say they want a drink and that's it. This summer I plan on getting them used to drinking out of a cup since we will be outside alot and water is their "juice" so it will not stain and won't matter if they spill it outside.

We only own 4 sippies, 2 for each of them. Each day I make a milk sippy for them and a juice sippy, so we use all 4 sippies each day. I put the milk in the fridge right after they finish with it. The juice sippy I do keep out a bit longer though. We wash all 4 sippies each night so they are always accounted for.

Yep, ours are always scattered around the house. We try to stick with 1 sippy for milk all day long and they get sippies of water at night. It's the sippy cups of water that we have to do the hunt for when we can't find anymore!

Nope, never did. I didn't let my kids walk around with a drink. If they were thirsty, they could have a drink, but it always went back in the fridge after they drank what they wanted.

We have 6 sippy cups total. 2 of them for water, and 4 of them for milk. They so lose them occasionally, but they are always found by the end of the day.

We are another six sippy household after the whole BPA plastic scare thing. Morning and dinner milks with water throughout the day... most days there is a splash of juice in the water though.

We do the same, although if they want milk, they can have that, but they don't usually carry it around.

We only have 6 and we are keeping up with them pretty well. I constantly remind the girls that sippies go on the table when they are finished drinking them. When we are in the living room the "table" is a speaker that is beside the TV and when we are running in the house the dining room table is where they go. They do well for the most part, sippies are no longer found in their bedrooms, but I still find sippies from time to time in the floor in the dining room or in the living room. When I do find one, I make them come and pick it up and put it on the table. We have been working on this for about two months now and they are doing a fairly good job putting them where they go when they get finished. I think the key for me is making them pick up the sippie and put it on the table if I find one on the floor.

Same here! Except now we're down to normally only milk in the mornings. They eat so much yogurt and cheese, they get enough dairy.
