Do you have an Ergo Carrier?

I'm so mad I could spit! I have somehow managed to lose my hotslings pouch (luckily no baby was in the pouch when I lost it!) and it drives me nuts because that thing was like 50 bucks and it's just a piece of fabric for crying out loud! Anyways, I'm on the hunt for a new carrier of sorts and I'm reading great things about the Ergo Carrier. Wondering if any of you have one, or have recommendations for another baby-carrying device. Thanks!

My sister has one for her singleton and it's lovely. I've worn my children in it at 2.5 years and while heavy, if you were used to it, the carry would certainly be comfortable. I'd get it since it will last you for a long time vs. a sling that only uses one shoulder. I have a Kozy and was not able to get a comfortable back carry going with the straps on it. The support of the Ergo was much, much better. My kids also love riding in it. Sorry about the Hotsling!

I'm gonna keep an eye on this thread because I'd love to get a carrier for one of the nuggets but am not sure what to get ... I have a Snugli my mom picked up at a rummage but I have no idea how to get the thing on or how to adjust it.

I just brought a moby and a hotslings. I wear both together so the ergo isn't for me yet. I did hear great things about the ergo.

I recently got a Kangaroo Sling and love love love it. I'm also interested in an Ergo... not sure if I'll spring for it though.
I generally stop using them once the babies seem happier in their buggy or are busier. But an Ergo may be a dif story.

We just bought the Ergo today, actually! We've used (at various times) a hotsling and the baby bjorn. Both of these are getting very uncomfortable as the boys have gotten bigger (about 17lbs and 27" long). I was considering the bjorn active, but when we were at the store there was a dad with his 1yr old in the Ergo, and both he and his wife said it was a GREAT investment and they wished they'd gotten it earlier and not wasted their money on the other stuff.

The baby looked happy and comfy :) . You can wear them in 3 diff. positions (on your front-facing in, on your back, or hip). The only cons I can see are that the baby can't be on your front facing out, which my boys love in the bjorn. And... it's expensive at about $90. It supposedly supports up to 40lbs though, so you can use this thing for a long time! Hope that's helpful.

I got an ergo three weeks ago and I'm buying another one - very comfy to carry a baby in, the weight is distributed evenly over your back and hips and its very quick to put on and take off. I wish I had discovered them earlier! (We used a maya wrap and a wilkinet carrier up til now)

I don't have the ergo but I went with something similar for DD called the Sutemi, it is basically the same thing. I loved it when she got older especially for back carrying, I carried her comfortably on my back at 15mo/20-something #
for the twins b/c I wanted to carry while they were smaller when they really wanted to be held alot I went w/ a moby that I just made myself out of 5 yards of cotton/poly fabric
If you are into babywearing check out:

it has tons of info on all kinds of carriers, how to use them, and make your own!

I love love love my Ergo. It is very comfortable and the kids love being in it. The option of front, hip and back carry is fabulous.

    I absolutely recommend it.

I don't have an Ergo but I know quite a few other mothers who are also cloth diaper retailers and they absolutely love their. Definitely buy from a WAHM. They have the best customer service, fast shipping, and actually appreciate the orders. :D
