Do you have a website for your kids?

I want a place for all my kids' photos and I was thinking this was the way to go. I also want to add captions and comments or do some journaling. So... How did you get it? Is it hard to maintain? Is it free? Is it worth it? Are family and friends kept up to date? Can family & friends order pics if they want?

I use Babiesonline.com and LOVE it. It is free, I can journal, it is EASY, and if htey wanted- they could order pics through Clark.

Take a peek at mine if you want. Very easy to do!!!

Babypages.com is another one I've heard of.

Babiesonline is probably the easiest one that I know of.

Shutterfly.com will let you store all of your pictures. You can put short descriptions under the pictures (120 characters) and people can order pictures directly from them.

I made my own website using Microsoft Frontpage, but dh works for an internet company, so he showed me how to use it. We also get free site hosting from work. Our families love that they can get online any time and see new pics of the kids.

 

I use dropshots.com .... you can't journal there but you and your friends/family can add comments to the pictures. You can upload pictures and video's very easily. They have a program called the drop box and all you do is drag the picture from your folder to the box and it uploads it pretty quickly. It puts the pictures in a calendar format and automatically puts the picture on the date you took it, you can also sort by day, week, month, and year.

Here is the site I started for the boys when I was on bedrest and kept up for 9mos.. My MIL loves it b/c she is out of state and can keep up with the boys. I put video clips on it for her.

We had a MSN group when I worked for them it was free and the expanded volume. Moved to myspace....don't like it. Now we use piczo. You can password protect and its so simple anyone can make decent pages.

 

I use the one in my sig. I love the layout and its very easy to use and has a password option if you would like to use it. It has a free and a premium option. I myself use premuim because of storage space size.

 

I have a few friends that use Multiply.com and really like it. It offers photo albums, blogging, video clips, and other features. If I didn't have my own site, I would probably use Multiply.

Personally, I am a web developer and have chosen to crate my own site. My family and friends love it. In fact, I get in trouble for not keeping it up to date. I have to add to it at least every 2 weeks or I start to get calls.

 

I use MSN Spaces. It's free and easy to use. You can check out the link in my siggy. I have used Babiesonline, but they require an outside photo hosting site if you want more than a few pictures. That was just too much work for me.
