How old are your kiddos? and do you give them a snack just before bedtime?
My b/g twins are 8 and I still give them a snack before bed. Should I/Can I cut this out?

Mine are nearly 10 always have a snack before bed. We have dinner around 5pm so by 8pm they are hungry again. Its usually cereal or toast

I usually let my five year olds have fruit or vegetables until 7:30, their bedtime is 8:00.

No snacks here. Mine will be 8 the first week of May. We eat dinner around 6 most days, closer to 7 on Tues/Thurs because they take jiu jitsu those days. They go to bed around 8.

If we watch a movie on Fri. or Sat. night, they get popcorn.

My kids are 12 and twins are 7 and they all have a snack before they go to bed. We eat dinner at 5:30/6:00 and bedtime is 9:00 for 12 year old and 8:00 for twins. They just have something small...they have always had a snack so it's part of the routine.

Mine are 14, 11, the boys are 5, and 2. We eat around 5 as well so we do have a snack around 8:30, we all have one.

My boys are 10, and they don't have a snack before bed. They actually never have, even as babies, they would have their last bottle a bit of playtime before the bedtime routine. Now, if they have practice, sometimes they will eat a snack when they come home--but it is usually an hour or so before they go to bed.

No, but we have a later diner usually.. Between 6.30pm and 7pm, and they go to bed pretty much right after.

We have in the past, but then it was apparent that it was a habit... and I did not want them to eat just before bed just to do it. MOST of the time it doesn't happen. Our dinner is close to bedtime anyways, so it isn't too much of a problem.

Nope, we eat supper at 7-7:30 after hubby gets home from work, and my oldest daughter goes to bed at 8-8:30, my oldest son at 9-9:30 and the twins at 9:30-10. Sometimes if the twins didn't eat supper good they'll ask for a snack and they can have a yogurt, pudding, applesauce or fruit before bed.

Not on most days...I have 5 year olds who are usually in bed by 8 and they will have their last snack around 6. Now the T Ball is starting and they usually get a snack afterwards and that is right before bed, so 2 days a week now they do get a snack right before bed.

As a normal practice, no they do not have a snack before bedtime and never have. My DH does not usually get home until 6:30, so we normally eat dinner around 7pm. They go to bed at 9pm. If they eat a good dinner and then ask for a snack, I will let them eat fruit, veggies with dip, or maybe a cheese stick. They do not usually ask, unless they seem to be in a growth spurt.

If we do a movie night on Friday or Saturday, they do get popcorn or chips, maybe a little candy.

Mine will be 5 this June. I don't give snacks before bedtime. I don't want them used to it. I have only given them a very small snack if dinner was before 5:00. Then I know they'll be hungry and it's hard to sleep on an empty stomach. They do have water by their beds. I used to be adamant about that but Kiefer seemed to be super thirsty right before bed and has never wet his bed. He's good about using the toilet and would usually sleep through the night after having some water. Cameron was a bedwetter, but as soon as he learned to use the toilet before going to bed, I allowed him to have his sippy cup of water by his bedside too. We'd fill it with ice and only fill it half-way with water so it looks like they are getting a lot, but they are not. Plus, they get cold water for a while until they actually fall asleep. But, snacks, is only don't when absolutely necessary.
