do you ever wake up and feel like you got hit by a truck?

I woke up this morning to take DH to work and take our Jeep to the shop again (we bought it a month ago and its already had a torque converter replaced and will probably have to have a new transmission put in, you would think a brand new vehicle would last longer! Thank God for the warranty! I will never buy a brand new car again) and I feel like I was hit by a truck. Not a pick up but one of those big semi's with the flat front! Ugh, I'm tired and achey and so out of it I don't feel like doing anything. I know I shouldn't complain because I really am a lucky person and I am so grateful for what I have in my life. Oh well, its time to get ready to drop the Jeep off, thanks for letting me vent.

Yes! I sometimes don't fall asleep until the wee hours, and then my DD wakes up around 8am and calls for me.....and I just groan, because I know hauling myself up, and then kneeling to help her with the potty, leaning over to brush her teeth and get her dressed.....ouch. It's pretty sad that I find it painful to do just these basic things, but I am in rough shape these days....

And leaving the house these days, oy. Yesterday I went to the kiddo's last-day-of-school party (for like 45 minutes), and then went and got a haircut. That's it. When I got home, she was napping, so I was able to chill on the couch for two hours -- but really, I was done for the rest of the day, and could barely walk all evening. I feel like I'm 100 years old!

Seriously counting down the weeks now!

Hope your day gets better and you can squeeze in a nap. I am still early along so I can't totally relate but these days I often wake up with my DD at 6 when she normally gets up then I doze off on the couch while she plays or PBS. some mornings I just cannot wake up I am so exhausted.

    Take care! :)

I KNOW!!! And I think it has been worse for me than it would have been because I've been on bed rest since March 1. When I get up to go to the restroom, I am bent over and doing this creeping shuffle the whole way there. Yesterday I bent down 3 times within anout 10 minutes and my legs barely held me up the next time I got out of bed. So wobbly! My hips hurt, my back feels like I've been hauling hundreds of pounds on it. I called my doctor yesterday because my KNUCKLES have even started to hurt! What the heck is that about? I'm reallly wondering how I will even function on bed rest for 4 more weeks.

It's not just you. Some days are better than others but the days that are bad are REALLY bad and the days that are good are the ones I am not crying by the end. I've been up since 5:00 this morning because my hips and shoulders hurt so bad that I just couldn't take it anymore. We have a brand new recliner that I can't sit in for more than a few minutes because it hurts my back and strategically places the weight of the babies right on my bowel. OUCH!!! It just seems unfair that at this point when I should be storing up sleep I am getting less than ever. I am so much looking forward to feeling better evey day vs. feeling worse. Friends ask me how I am feeling and I say, "Tired, big, OK in general but I'll spare you the list of complaints." I want these babies to get big, get healthy and GET OUT!!!

I kid you not, I pretty much said these exact words to my OB yesterday during my 31-week checkup when he asked me how I was doing - I told him 'I feel like I got hit by a big truck when I woke up this morning'. He just chuckled and said 'and you'll probably have many more such mornings before it's all over'. Great! This morning was pretty good - got up feeling rested, ate my bowl of cereal and am good to go. On the not-so-good mornings like yesterday I woke up feeling like death warmed over, and didn't even want to get out of bed. So yes,,,I empathize and feel your pain...

Ugh, I can so relate right now. For the past week I've been sooo tired, it seems like I wake up tired! I snooze while my 19 month old girl plays in the morning, (if I'm lucky). Then my appetite has been gone, I've been nauseous, had diarreah, had a bazillion BH contrax- I know I am lucky to be this far along but I am so ready to not be pregnant anymore. I keep thinking each new development means labor is starting but no luck yet! My husband is great about encouraging me to nap or rest while he entertains the girl after he gets home but I look forward to a future when I can reach the floor and roll over in bed without supporting my huge belly and not pee every 15 minutes and maybe have energy to play with my daughter (and sons)!

I am at the point I can only sleep two hours at a time. Rolling over from one side to the other is incredibly painful. And this week has brought on some terrible, constant back pain. I think most of this is from the last 9 weeks of bedrest. I can't believe how hard this has been on my body...and I was in good shape before I got pregnant!

So YES, I definitely feel like I got hit by a truck - and then it backed up and hit me again!

I go to the ob again today for another NST (I go twice a week - ugh). At Monday's apt he told me he would schedule my section for 36 weeks instead of waiting until 38. Today I want an actual date!
