Do you ever 'forget' you are pregnant?

The phone rang at 5 am this morning, I jumped out of bed to get it, and in the process tweaked my back (oh, I don't know, a big belly that messes up my center of gravity might have had something to do with it!). So, for most of the morning I was pretty ginger and people at work were sure something was wrong. After a couple hours, it loosened up and things are the way they normally are. But, I just forgot I was pregnant - otherwise I wouldn't have jumped up. I guess I need to be more careful (and we'll bring the phone in the bedroom from now on!)

Hope everyone has a good Friday (for those in the States) and a good weekend (for those on this side of the world).

I can't say that I did but I don't think I got jolted awake like that in the wee hours of the morning. I think that's perfectly normal. I'm sorry you hurt your back but glad it's feeling better. Try to take it easy this weekend.

yes I used to "forget"! it was the strangest feeling because my belly was HUGE! I think I just got so used to it! plus I enjoyed my pregnancy so much and had very few problems. I had vaginal pressure and pains when up and about but if I had been still for awhile it was easy to "forget"!!

I forgot often! I never had any pregnancy symptoms so it was quite easy to do. Soorry to hear about the back tweaking but glad it loosened up!

    Have a great weekend!

I forget all the time - never for long, just enough that I remember and think, "Oh, no, that must be someone else. I can't be a MOM."

    Erica,

I noticed you are in Okinawa. I am in Misawa. I am going to have twin boys. I am coming there in April and staying at the Stork Nest until I am due to have the twins. I am 27 weeks tomorrow. I thought I was the only person on here who lived on Japan. Nice to know there is someone else!!

    I definitely do sometimes forget.....
Since I'm on bedrest, my DH likes to call me in the mornings to check on how I'm doing. Since the phone is on the night stand next to his bed....when the phone rings and I'm asleep....I wake up and roll over on my tummy to get the phone. But then I realize right away that there's a bump on my stomach, so I sit up right away. This has happened to me several times. We are now in the process of getting a phone extension to move the phone to my side of the bed. LOL!!!

I forgot ALOT of thing when pregnant but never forgot I was pregnant. Between the constant naseau and a HUGE tummy my body wouldnt let me forget. Sorry about your back though.
