Thinking of TV shows where people craved pickles and ice cream got me to thinking... what strange things do us pregnant women really crave?

I haven't craved anything to strange, yet... but my current craving is Cajun Chicken Alfredo Pasta, YUMMY!

I don't think I ate any really strange things when I was pregnant. But I was totally totally into EGG SALAD on toast with raw baby spinach -- very particular.

Oh, and I like sour things. Like lemons, lemon aid. I normally don't like that.

Nothing too weird this time -- blueberry Eggos, and M&M's cookie ice cream sandwiches. And good Boar's Head pickles, but by themselves. And all sorts of fruit....

My first pregnancy, though, I ate cottage cheese mixed with tuna fish. How gross is that?? It turns my stomach to think of it now....

i haven't really craved anything. Lately I have really liked potato salad but i think it's b/c the weather's getting nice. Oh, for the second trimester nothing could beat an egg sandwich on an everything bagel.

Lately I have been going nuts for the king-sized Vanilla & Chocolate Swirl Drumstick. I'm not a big ice cream eater. With my son, I craved mini raviolies and I'd fry up a whole pound of hickory smoked bacon and melt velveta over it and eat it all in one sitting. MMmmm bacon sounds really good right now,.........

nothing weird for me yet. just hot dogs. yummm!!! but i'm SO particular about the water i drink. it has to come from the brita (which we keep room temperature), with 2 ice cubes. that makes it the perfect temperature for me to chug it and feel refreshed. lol :p

With the twins I craved a toasted Everything bagel, with thin-sliced turkey, cheese, and honey mustard dressing. I ate it EVERYDAY for lunch!

With Josh it was Key Lime Pie flavored yogurt.

With Justin and Hannah it was ice cream, and lots of it!

lately i like chocolate cream filled cupcakes (like hostess) but here they're called "penguins"....i hadn't had them in years....

i ask DH to get a pack (they come in 2's) on his way home from the gym, and i always eat one and save the other for later, but when i go get it......it's gone!!! i actually think he gets more cravings than i do (we do have a "penguin thief" running joke, though ;) )

I recently craved fruit loops. I don't usually like cereal!

Before I found out I was pregnant I ate a cesar salad at least twice a day! I stopped as soon as I found out I was pregnant. The first trimester I wanted fruits and veggies. I ate an entire can of green beans by myself for supper one night. It was really good though and I just didn't want to share with anyone.

    Now I want skittles. YUMMY!!!!

I always wanted Taco Bell bean burritos, they always sounded good no matter what, even when I had MS they were all I really wanted to eat. I also just realized that is funny b/c when I was pregnant with my singleton DD the first time I was sick I had eaten them for lunch.
I also always wanted cereal especially coco puffs, I literally was coo-coo for them. ;)

I didn't crave anything strange But.... During the first trimester I craved Cocoa Puffs. Breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks all I wanted was cocoa puffs. The second Trimester it was Lucky charms. Which is really odd since I usually dont care for cereal. Oh yeah and strawberry or chocolate milk. It used to take us 2 weeks to drink a gallon of milk but my whole pregnancy I think we used atleast 3-4 gallons per week  . Oh yeah and salt was also one of my craving the whole pregnancy chips, crackers, pickles anything salty LOL.

Adversions were any kind of Fast food just the thought would literally make me sick. Also chicken and ham just the thought made me sick. I still have trouble with those things even after having the babies.

Food wise for the pregnancy, I haven't had much cravings. It is getting to be warmer, so Taco Bell is my love for a midnight snack in the summer no matter what. I just don't have anything particular food wise. However, I could drink iced tea til its coming out my ears! At home I make decaf (or DH does cause he makes a good tea). That is what I get a restaurants too....love it.

For my bday last week, my mom made me lunch. She was going to make lasagna or enchiladas (which I don't like) or homemade mac and cheese which I do love. When she asked what I wanted, I told her that I wanted chicken noodle soup and tuna sandwiches. She thought homemade chicken noodle soup and I said no. I wanted the one with egg noodles and lipton soup. She couldn't believe that is what I wanted, but it was something we had for lunch all the time growing up and it sounded super good. It was :)

With Emily, it was ice cream. One day DH and I went to the zoo and I had to chocolate ice cream cones (they are the best there). After I had her, we went back and I could only eat one...but I loved it when I was pg. I also ate a lot of marcaroni and tomato juice (another lunch we grew up with)...yum.
