Do they have to be sitting up

We are going to start cereal tonight! But we only have one high chair right now. Can we feed them in thier bouncies or do they have to be sitting straight up? We could probably feed them in the swings, those sit pretty straight up ... I'm picking up another high chair Wednesday so they can each get used to eating in the high chair but for now ... what should I do?

 

The first couple days, I fed them in their baby papasan chairs. Maybe try putting a blanket behind whatever you use so it is a little more upright. Since you are just starting, it probably is not a big amount they will be getting anyways.

We started solids at 3.5/4 months and they were not sitting up on their own yet. We fed them in the Bumbos. They loved it!

 

Mine didn't sit unassisted until 10 months and we started feeding them cereal at 5 months and fruits/veggies at 6. We just put them in the bouncy seat until they could sit well in their booster seats.

 

We started in the bouncies as well. I think it's actually easier to do it in the bouncies while they are little. Have fun!

Mine were sitting until a few weeks ago. We fed them in their bouncies until about 5.5 months when I switched them to their high chairs then went back to bouncies because I found it easier until they had more control.

 

I began feeding them in my arms. Cradled and sticking the spoon in. Then we used the Bumbos. Now we are in the high chair.
