Do they get sick at the same time?

Eleanor's sick today... our first sickness since they were born. I noticed she had a fever yesterday afternoon, and today she's irritable and listless. Doesn't want to play, doesn't want to do anything except be held. She's eating fine, but is obviously not feeling well. I have a doctor's appointment for her at 6:30 (not sure if we really need it, but since it's almost the weekend I figured I'd take her in for my own peace of mind).

Fortunately, Vivian is her normal cheerful self.

What I'm wondering is whether Viv will get sick too, or have we dodged the bullet of having them both sick? In your experiences, do your twins get sick at the same time? One after the other? Only one and not the other? Or does it all just depend?

My boys have gotten sick 2 or 3 times now and when ones gets it, the other is just hours behind.

Mine almost never get sick at the same time. Sometimes they don't even get the same illness. For instance, Amy had croup, and Sarah, who is more prone to respiratory stuff, never got it. (I think I can safely say that now, since it's been 3 weeks....)

When it's just a minor cold, it seems like they get one cold after another and are both sick the whole winter. But for specific illnesses like roseola, croup, tummy bugs, or respiratory infections, if they do both get it, one's usually almost better by the time the other one gets it, if she gets it at all. (Which is better, IMO -- I'd rather miss more work than take care of 2 sick kids at the same time.)

James just had a terrible cold (our first one) and I was sure Evan would come down with the same thing, since my husband and I also had it. We all felt rotten! But, miraculously, Evan never even came down with a sniffle. My babies share bottles, cups, spoons - everything. Strange, eh? I guess one person can have better immunity than the next.

We are just finishing up our first cold. Anneke got it about 1 day later than Rowan, and we are going on just about a week now. Hopefully it will be over soon. Fortunately they didn't get a fever or anything. Just stuffed up.

It's been colds for us and my girls got them about 3 days apart. last cold carley needed emoxicilian and Natalie did not. but she was still congested and runny nose. they've been sick twice now and both have gotten it. - but it's also hard for me to seperate everything when one is sick.

Mine have gotten sick at the same time, except this last time. Lauren had a cold and Emma only had the sniffles for a day.

My babies have always been sick at the same time. I hope Eleanor feels better soon, and Vivian doesn't catch the bug!
