Do the babies slow down a bit toward the end?

My belly has been like a circus the last couple weeks with all the kicking and punching and whatever is going on in there, but the last couple days they've been a little quieter. Not that I don't feel any movement, but there's definitely longer periods where they're quiet, and baby B seems to be in a position now where I feel him a little bit less than I used to. Is that normal? I am 33 w 3 days.

Yeah, I think its normal. I think the bigger they get, the more crowded it is so there is less room to party. I definitely had days where activity was minimal and as soon as I thought it was because there wasn't any room left to move, the party would start again. I also thought one of my babies was in a position that I couldn't feel her as well - there were even some days I would worry that something was wrong - but it turns out that she was just the quieter one, in the womb and out! As long as you are feeling some movement, I think everything is fine, but if you ever think there isn't enough, call your OB.

I was thinking the same thing today and we're at the same point. I still feel a lot of kicking, but the big movements have stopped. Both boys are head down and low now so I suspect that their positions won't change. However, Baby A is really low in my pelvis and unfortunately his flips have been replaced by a feeling of him trying to claw his way out.
