Do my girls look ID?

Throughout my pregnancy, the doctors told me that there was only one placenta...therefore we were under the impression that they were identical. Ofcourse strangers can't see their distinct differences, but their father and I can. I haven't had any invasive testing done to determine if they truly are ID. Any thoughts?

They look ID to me too! Adorable. As a mom of ID twins, I think it's a myth that ID twins are truly IDENTICAL in very sense of the word. My two have many differences physically and many people do not think they're identical (despite a zygosity test). If you want to know for sure (and I don't think you need to do a test--they are definitely ID!), a zygosity test isn't invasive at all. We did the cheek swab test. The girls hardly noticed it.

Yes, they look ID. It's so funny that as parents we can see so much difference! My friend has ID girls that are almost the same age as my twins. We both swear that each others twins look "SO identical" but that our own twins look nothing alike!

If they truly only had one placenta, then they are ID, no doubt about it!

I also have ID twins and I can tell them apart no problem, especially if they are next to each other (the 4 pound weight diff helps).

Absolutely identical and ADORABLE!!!

 

Identical for sure and such beauties!! My boys also shared a placenta and are identical but to me look more like brothers than twins, but I think that's just because most Id twin moms don't think their babies look alike- I think we become so used to their differences that we don't know why anyone can get them confused...
