My boys are 4.5 months. They eat a lot! According to my pedi I cannot overfeed them, but overall they do eat a lot.

O, who was 18lbs even at his 4 months appointment eats approximately 31-35 oz of formula and either a small jar of vegetable or small bowl of cereal a day. (5 bottles 6-7.5 oz)
    Never spits up, never fussy.

E, who was 14.14 lbs at his 4 mo appointment eats the same amount of food as O, but rather takes smaller bottles (almost funny, his bottles are 5-6.5 oz).
He does spit up occasionally, but demands food just as ferociusly as his brother. Barely ever fussy.

Do you think they eat too much?

It does not sound like it to me. It sounds like they are growing healthy boys :)

Sounds fine to me! They are good weights and they are happy. You can't overfeed a baby, they aren't programmed to over eat.

Nope does not sound like too much at all. My boys ate 36oz (each boy) of formula a day before we started solids (5.5oz). At 10 months old, they are 25 pounds & 33 inches tall!!

Now they eat 3 meals and day and take 16oz of formula each.

Sounds like you are giving them what they need. But I will say that because they are SO big they are not crawling yetand my ped is not worried yet!

Sounds good to me. If they are hungry, feed 'em. :)

Since your babies are eagerly wanting to eat, I don't think you are overfeeding them. However, I'm not sure it's true that "you can't overfeed a baby." I was just clicking around msnbc.com and came across an article by a doctor who thinks otherwise. Of course, this is just his opinion and has not been confirmed by a study, and if I've learned one thing over the last 8 months different doctors have different opinions on the same subject! Anyway, I thought it was an interesting read. And I am one of those people he mentions who try like heck to get my boys to finish ALL 6 ounces instead of just 4 :)
