I had been having that for days now and when I went to the hospital for bleeding turned out i was 4cm and 75% effaced - she said those were contractions - didn't feel like it to me.

It can also be just your little ones moving and rolling over.

If it continues I would just call your doctor and see what they say.

Yes, I am 25 weeks now and last week I went to the hospital at 9:30pm and was there until 1am. I was having tightening and sort of like cramps in my side. While at the hospital they checked me out and put monitors on me. The babies were so active that they could not even track them with the monitors for more than a few minutes. They wanted to track them for 20 minutes. They finally let me go saying that everything was fine. I think the only explaination is that they were really active. But, I do have the hard stomach thing very often. Especially when I stand up.

My stomach is tight most of the time but I think it's cause I'm not that big for 2 babies. I mostly notice it when they are moving alot, last week they were on top of each other laying sideways & I though my stomach was going to burst open. My DR said to make sure I am drinking plenty of water but other than that I think it is just so much movement. I hope my stomach will stretch more soon so I can have more room in there for them.

Call your doctor! When they released me from the hospital last week, one of the symptoms to watch for was crampiness. I have contractions all day, despite the Procardia (but not enough to cause concern.) I think the crampiness should be looked into. Good luck!

I started having that a lot around 26-27 weeks. For me it was nothing, but I would call your doctor to be on the safe side.

I have this a lot especially when the babies are growing and my stomach hasn't caught up yet. My dr said that it is normal with twins to have a lot of crampiness, mine has never been anything. If you are concerned I would just check with your dr so you know what your baseline is, that helps a lot. I still wonder about some, but I figure if it was true contractions they would get worse. Good luck.

Yes, I have all of that! Some days worse than others. My Dr. said the same thing-can be just from carrying
twins. I asked this before I left the hospital last friday- it's the consistent ones that should be a concern. Also if they
hurt. Consistent meaning every 5 minutes or so-

    Your not alone! :)

call, call, call. it's better to be safe (all of you) then surprised by an imminent delivery.

Did you call? I hated callling too, but last Thursday had to. I was 80% effaced and 2 cm dilated when I got there. Spent the night, and they stopped the contractions b/c they wanted me to make it to this week. Sometimes you just have to find out what is really going on. It sucks to be so out of touch with our own bodies though!

I get that feeling if I've been walking around too much - usually I just rest and feel better.... and drink lots of water!
