DNA Testing

    After arguing with people for two years, I have decided that possibly my boys are ID. I had that AHA moment one day after getting haircuts. When I was 11 weeks pregnant, I was told fraternal so I just went with it. I have looked into their blood types and they are the same so the next step is the DNA test. This is Jack:

    I used Affiliated Genetics and was very happy with the experience. At the time, they were a few bucks cheaper than the rest.

    We used ProActive Genetics as well. Their customer service was great (we lived overseas at the time, it was no big deal).

    I'm almost certain they ARE identical. They have the same teeth! They are adorable too!

    As an ob/gyn doctor, there's no way that someone can tell you you're having fraternal twins, unless they're different gender on ultrasound. Even di/di twins (separate placentas, separate sacs) are still identical about 15% of the time. So there is certainly a chance that they are identical.

    We used www.dnasolutions.com for $99. I highly recommend them. Had the results in about two weeks after we sent the swabs in.

    I'd say yours are ID. And very adorable.
