DNA Test

My doctor said that my twins are fraternal as they had their own sac and placenta. They sent the placentas to a lab after delivery. They look identical to me and I thought you needed DNA test to determine if they are identical or not. Is this true?

 

This is very true. Some doctors just don't get it! If they have the same blood type they may be identical but if their blood types are different then they are fraternal. We used www.dnasolutions.com for our test. It was $99 and worth every penny. I got really fed up with strangers asking me if they were id or not and me not knowing. I waited 16 months before I finally did it. My boys are ID.

 

Yes, true, you do need a test! We are pretty good judges here at TS if you would like to post pictures!

We used the same place as mommymeg for $99. My boys had two sacs and two placentas as well. They are ID. I hope you can figure out the pictures. I love to play the guessing game too!

I used DNA Solutions for $99.I just found out this week that my twins are identical.Its wonderful to find out for sure and this is the cheapest company and it usually don't come up in the search engines.Also the site has live chat that you can talk to representatives and find out the status and ask questions about your test.Post your pictures.I did and the girls here were very accurate on guessing the zygostiy of my twins.

I didn't even need to see picture to know because if you their mother think they look identical I would say for sure they are identical then. They are cuties!

 

Yes I do think they are identical. The ear that I can see (their left) is the same.

Super cute and when you get more of JUST their faces, that would be great to see too.

That was my first thought too. Often you get mothers saying they're unsure because others think they are id but they themselves see differences. If they look id to you it's a pretty safe bet they are.

My vote is ID too! But it was definitely worth spending the $99 to settle it for sure! They are adorable!!! Thanks for posting the pictures.
