So I SWORE I wouldn't take the boys until they were at least 4. But the new military promo has us wanting to go again this year. We might see if MIL wants to watch them again this year, but part of me really wants to take them with us. So if you've done it, tell me about it. Was it insane? How did you handle their schedule? Did you do a double stroller? Two singles? How much did you let them walk? How did you feed them? We're looking at the dining plan, which they're too young for, so should we just plan on letting them eat off of our plates or get them kids meals? So many issues!!!

Anyways, thanks so much! I really want to go back, but I want it to be a pleasant experience so DH will want to go again after this time!!! LOL!

ETA- the boys will be at least 29 months, maybe close to 32, depending on when we go!

We took the boys when they were 2.5 for the first time. We rented the stroller there, but it wasn't very comfortable. It did make a nice place to carry all the stuff though. We let them ride as much stuff as the could. They don't eat very much & we just snacked throughout the day. We did a character b-fast one day. No schedule & I don't think they slept at all. We let them play at toon town for most of the day.

Have fun & RELAX! Don't sweat the small stuff.

    They will love it.
My girls went to disney the first time at 17 months since DH had a confrence in Orlando. We did a 5 day vacation before his conference. Went again almost a year later when they 26 months old.
Then when we were visiting my FIL in Southern FLorida for a week, he decided we should be at disney instead of his house. So we went to Disney for 4 days then. Girls were almost 3 at that point
Then we went in October for Mickey's not so scarey Halloween party and for a week in December.

My girls love it. They remember the different rides. Know which ones they like and which ones they hate.

As far as strollers. Bring your double stroller from home. It is now $31 a day to rent a double stroller. You will want a double stroller since the boys will want to walk. This way one adult can push the stroller while the other holds both boys hands. Trust me on this one. I have one girls who will only ride in the stroller if she is tired or not feeling well, and the other who will ride in it most of the time.

As far as food. any buffet places are free for kids under 3. Whispering Canyon has an all you car to eat skillet. Ohana is family style so they bring you the food. Garden grill in Epcot is also family style with characters.
Feel free to ask me any disney questions.

We took our oldest when she was 22 months and it was fine except for the sleeping part. She never slept in the stroller so we had to go back to the hotel if we wanted her to take a nap. She also wasn't used to sleeping in a pack n play so she ended up in bed with us almost every night - something we were not used to! Anyway, the trip must have gone pretty well because we are heading back in March with her (4 1/2) and our twins who will turn 2 a week before. I will definitely be taking a double stroller with me!

We went with my oldest when she just turned 2. We also went this past summer with all 4; ages 8, 4, and the twins just turned 2. We went for a few days because we planned on going back to the hotel for a nap. The nap break worked out great because it was so darn hot and we stayed later to watch the parade and fireworks. I couldn't imagine being there all day. We got there when they opened, left around 1pm and returned around 4pm.

We brought one of those walk and ride strollers. My twins mostly walked, though. They have hated the stroller for a while now. But, at least one kid rode in it at any given time. The rented ones are expensive ($31 stated by a pp) and look so darn uncomfortable. A friend of mine met us for a couple of days with her 4 kids. She made them ride in the double stroller. I swear she was constantly yelling at them to get in and stay in. The kids kept standing up in it. She even ran one of them over because she was looking ahead and her girl was sitting on the front edge. Her legs got caught underneath and my friend ran her right over!

Anyways, the trip was really fun. I think 2 is a good age cuz they are starting to know some of the characters.

    We're taking the girls tomorrow!!

It's DH's birthday and he gets in free, so do the girls, so we just have to pay for me. We're concerned about the no napping too. Neither will sleep in the stroller.

We're not sure whether to take our double sbs or 2 umbrellas. One hates the stroller at this age and sometimes throws fits but she won't listen if we let her walk so I'm not sure what we'll do.

We have taken the boys 3 times in the last year (we are about 1.5 hours away.) They will love it. We spent a little over a week in July (I do not recommend summer but my brother was there from TX so we planned our vaca with them) and just got back last night from a weekend getaway. The boys still nap so we always figured nap time at the hotel into the schedule. This helped everyones demeanor, rest is always good to keep everyone's attitude in dealing with so many people. We got a terrific deal for a condo instead of a regular hotel room, we had a 3 bed/3 bath just a few minutes from the parks so the boys had their own room and their schedules didn't mean we had to be silent. I took the double stoller and their monkey backpack/leashes, this gave them a bit of freedom when they needed to stretch their legs and we didn't have to hold their hands constantly, the stroller was a necessity because they get so heavy so fast. There's plenty that they can do at that age...hope you get to go.

Oh I'm so glad y'all have had pleasant, happy experiences! We changed our minds and are going in April, the boys will have just turned two! (we can save almost $800 in airfare that way.) I just booked everything, and SIL and a friend of hers will be joining us, so we'll have a few extra hands on occasion (I'm not expecting them to want to ride dumbo all week w/ us!)

I'm debating the stroller thing too- two umbrellas or the SBS. I currently HATE our double stroller, so I'm thinking I should probably not bring it, and just go w/ the two strollers. I was actually wondering if it would be smart to buy a slightly larger single stroller w/ a good basket underneath plus our Jeep single umbrella stroller, that way we'd have some storage.

But I'm getting more and more excited about bringing them. I know it'll be a totally different trip than our mom and dad only trip last September, but I think it'll be fun!!! :D

Anyways, again, I'm really glad to hear y'all have had such a good time w/ the little ones!!!!! :D
